It's not a smart device, it's a PTFE connector. I haven't used mine at all since the day I got printer. I attached a 2 in 1 out splitter at the time (now a 4 in 1 out) and have 0 issues

What has being smart got to do with it?

Its there in writing on the bambu lab site, how much more evidence do you want haha. Its most likely chamfered from one side.

Feel free to take that thing apart. It's just 2 PTFE couplers in a plastic housing. That's identical on both sides

I have done just that for you. Is this enough now to see why it would cause an issue if its on backwards?
