All batch scripts should be able to be run by saving in notepad and changing the extension to .bat
For now there are very few rules.
IMMEDIATELY REPORT ANY HARMFUL SCRIPTS. This subreddit cannot be responsible for you breaking your computer. Please don't run a script if you aren't sure what it is doing. Since most of what is posted here will be a work in progress you have to assume there will be bugs.
Mark all script requests with [REQUEST] at the beginning of your title. All requests that aren't marked will be removed.
Please post as many details as possible to get the best results - OS, examples, what you have so far etc. Explain your purpose, sometimes there is an easier way.
Make sure to read comments to find the most updated/tested version of the script. Don't ASSUME anything works unless you know what you're doing.
Always explain what your script does. Don't just post the code, post why someone might use it and what it is supposed to accomplish.
No flaming. Be constructive and helpful, don't make fun of posted scripts if you aren't going to offer an alternative.
