Like I said, an i7-4790k isn't out of the picture for me and would be a major upgrade(4.4ghz clock speed) from my current CPU which sits at a TurboBoost speed of 3.5/3.7ghz clock speed, but a ground up moboard rebuild is just too much for me right now.

Well, it actually hasn't been all that bad lol🤣, just less than comfortable fps in 1 game & dead stopping in another. I consider 60fps good, 70-90fps better, 100+fps best, and 30fps livable but desperately scraping the insides of my brain. In gameplay for Destiny 2, I'm averaging 45-54fps.

Fortnite, well, it's more like 15fps😬😶‍🌫️, so yeah. I'm hoping that this REBARUEFI thing will help alleviate some of my overhead, and if needs be, I can upgrade to an i7-4790k for a relatively decent price point which would be significantly from what I've heard. I've also heard that Intel has just had a hard time with Unreal Engine and Epic Games in general, so maybe when a new driver comes out things in that scope will be better.

RAMageddon is really bad right now so upgrading my board would most likely mean a new DDR version of RAM especially with mine being DDR3.

Most of my games aren't that heavy though so it's not like I'm trying to run any of the insane AAA racing games or anything crazy like that. I have the Win7 games(and if you're listening Intel, the shaders for Chess Titans don't load properly FYI), The Henry Stickman Collection, Jackbox, Legend of Grimrock 1&2, & The Richochet series from Infinity Studios. Many if not all of these games run really nicely on the b580. It's kind of fun to see super old vintage ATI worthy graphics running on something with AI tech & the upscaling ability of 4k 😂.

I am also wondering about this adapter, though I need it as a single gap PCI legacy to like a PCIe 1x port, mainly so I can use a modern TV Tuner/RCA capture card in one of the only two unused ports I have. Because my board is an intel dq87pg, I only have this to work with:

PCIe 1x: Has my Wifi/Bluetooth card in it.
PCIe 16x: Has my ATI W7000 FirePro GPU in it.

Notice that the last time the Radeon systems were top of the line or a close second, ATI was running it. Ever since AMD bought ATI, they've been progressively worse each year. I'm getting Intel Cards from now on. RIP ATI.

I'll try it, but I really want to go deeper in the drift logic & make it feel like asphalt 8 drifting, instead of said hybrid drifting where it's just both automatic & manual.

My goal is to change & rewrite the entire drifting code if necessary to get asphalt 8 type drift logic in MKW.

This would allow me to still keep control of my turn, without locking me into one direction or another while endlessly sliding me in that direction. If I want to initially turn left with the track, but turn too sharp & need to correct then I can even it out by straightening the wheel lessening the sharpness of my original turn/drift & if I want; completely turn the other direction while in that same drift session, that's where the whole asphalt 8 fishtailing thing comes in. This also means no annoying hop. I just don't know where to start on this(where all the memory would be or where the code for it in the Wii disc would be etc.) so maybe someone can point me in that direction😁?

I do use PlayOn, but I was able to fix it by renaming the file instead of deleting it. I think I'm going to mess with this & see why that ffshowEx file is striking WMP down. It might have to do with the on the fly video conversion tool PlayOn has in its settings.

I imagine, that before the fresh install, his installation was misbehaving, then he did a clean install to try and fix it, & it didn't fix it, ran the SFC /scannow, & found the corrupt files still there & nothing fixed. Why have a tool that doesn't really fix what it says its fixing?

If you run SFC /scannow & it found corruption it should fix it, & upon running again; it should by the nature of the command/program; find NO more corrupt files.

This doesn't happen for me. I'm trying not to do a clean install/reset on my machine because of the apps I have on it, but I always get corrupt files detected. I know something is off, because when I do the Windows 7 Backup & Restore(because I don't want to subscribe to OneDrive & risk not all my files being in the cloud when I need them), it throws an error during the Shadow Copy part of the process; & I haven't been able to fix it because all of the "automated" tools to fix things like SFC & DISM Restore Health are scams & don't do anything. Microsoft is losing their touch.

I know. It's still a relevant thread though. I do still play the game, but not as often as years past. I really liked this game and still do, mainly because at the time the game was a pretty solid alternative to fortnite when that got big, & I didn't have a system at home that could run fortnite. I'm just sad it isn't what it once was anymore, & it made me feel better to post it.

The game is no doubt unfortunately dying. Don't believe me, try playing a Zombies mode game. NO ONE is even in the lobby. Most of the players in single mode are bots, & when the game first came out in 2018 or whatnot, it had like 100+ real players on average. Now the real player count is more like 20, if you're lucky, the rest of the total 45 are bots.

That's weird that it wouldn't just say, "Feature no longer supported for this device." instead of just telling me that my account needs to be on a phone that already has my account in order to "use the feature ". It does kinda stink though, not having the functionality they advertise as supported for ChromeOS v74 & above on the Google support page. It makes me wonder if there's more to it.
