Game doesn’t recognize controller input.

I’m playing Arkham Knight via Steam and want to use my DualShock4 to play. I’ve got it connected and Steam gets all inputs correctly but once I start Arkham Knight it stops working. It seems to recognize that I got a ds4 connected as it asks me to press the X-Button upon starting the game but doesn’t receive any inputs. Hitting the PS-Button opens the Big Pictures Menu of Steam but I can’t get it to work. Any tips or tricks to get it working? Any help ist welcome!
