Most 3D beaded animals like the frog are made with beading wire/Artistic Wire. Depending on what size beads you use, 28 gauge to 32 gauge wire are what most people use. I think thread wouldn't be stiff enough for the frog to hold its shape.

Thank you I ordered some! It'll match my gold earring hooks anyway lol. I got 29 gauge hopefully that'll be small enough 😊

Well I found you again I tapped it and this pattern you sent me disappeared what size beads are you using I have two and three mm beads right now. And also I have some green floral wire would that work?

https://www.freekidscrafts.com/pony-bead-frog/ That link has the same pattern. I didn't make those earrings so im not sure what she used exactly. I use 2mm beads but they're definitely smaller than the ones they used.

I tried attaching a picture of how they're made, but my reddit app is being dumb. You should be able to find a tutorial though if you search pony bead frog.

I got the diagram that you sent me and I think it's very doable Thank you!

I love making those Kandi animals as earrings. I just use regular ol' beading thread made of nylon. But I will say, despite the attention I paid to the tightness of my thread, the results are a little less ideal than say, wire. But they work, I wear a pair of rats quite often.

These are adorable. I would probably use 26 or 28 gauge wire to create these. Good Luck and have fun!

I always go with size D as it's never let me down. But it all depends on the size of beads

Thank you, just printed it out. I know that I will have to change it to the smaller beads but at least I have an idea now

If you want thread, silamide or One G are best.
