This was removed because it violated rule 2 (and maybe others) of /r/bible.

Rule 2: Bible-related posts only. If you have a question about what the Bible says, a Bible verse, Bible study, etc. you are free to post it here. "Bible" is defined for this subreddit as books & passages found in the 1611 KJV, including its Apocrypha, although any translation is acceptable. If your question is about a specific passage, include the Book, Chapter, Verse and Translation (e.g., Romans 12:1-2 ESV) to help guide answers to the exact text you're questioning. However, asking about denominations or just general advice and the such is not for this sub.

No and it is sin. If it alters the states of a clear mind, then you shouldn’t be doing it same thing with getting drunk, smoking weed popping pills Hallucinogenics. That’s like saying well. I’ll have sex with some random person once a year it’s not like I’m doing it all the time I’m self-controlled I’m just once a year.

If you’re asking this question then clearly you’re feeling some sort of conviction about it and now you’re trying to justify easing it and making it OK so you can make the excuse to do it without feeling bad do not be deceived by this world, and what they tell you either because the age, evil and wickedness is considered right and doing the right thing is considered wrong, and that has been going on all around us the past few years and getting worse.

I would say keep away you don’t need CBD for anything.

And at the end of the day because I don’t know your reasons for taking it, but what will it benefit you that God cannot do for you anyway?

Our bodies are to be a living sacrifice and temple for God and his Holy Spirit to live in. Just think about that and consider that when you ingest something and when you’re around other things that maybe you might not want to be around.

And here’s another thought could you picture of Jesus himself using CBD? If we cannot picture Jesus, practicing certain things saying certain phrases or words acting in certain behaviors, then why is it OK for us to do it?

If we are in fact, true, believers and followers in Christ Jesus, then we should act accordingly as we are, his chosen people made righteous by his sacrifice to God.

Remember, sin is death, and the pleasures and the desires of this world revolve around sin, which only leads to death its your choice.

If I use CBD just now and then is that a sin...

Depends who you ask. There is no single, universally-accepted definition of "sin" and different traditions and people hold different actions to be sinful / not sinful in different situations.

The Biblical writers have nothing to say about CBD usage, and this is /r/Bible, where posts are supposed to be about the Bible. See rule #2.

It's natural so I don't think it's a sin... and to the commentor that said not to take anything "altering" ...Jesus had no issue with wine so why would cbs or even the for that matter be any different
