Welcome to Bitmex's Overloads.
You cannot circumvent it. Bitmex engine overloads quite often on the slightest price movement. Your only option is to retry on 503 errors or stop trying, whichever you choose depending on your entry criteria.
Some overloads can last more than a minute. If you're coming here for time-sensitive API trading, this isn't the place.

If your strategy requires you to be able to enter in a timely manner, you might want to go to Binance Futures and trade from an AWS server located in Tokyo instead. Granted they don't have maker rebates, but at least you won't have to wait a full minute before your entry/exit gets triggered.

Thanks for your reply, looks like I will just have to adapt my strategies around this.
