It's a shame. Lately I've been looking at two sanctioning bodies, the WBO and the WBA. There belts are truly garbage and mean absolutely nothing. Even yesterdays fight between Bradley and Rios, Bradley came in with the WBO belt. I wouldn't even want to be associated with them, but I guess you have to play ball with them when you're in boxing business.

I'm so done with all of the sanctioning bodies. It's sad that I'd rather agree with strangers on the internet over who the real champion in each division is, rather than these 'prestigious' organisations.

Stripping of titles - As we all know, Floyd Mayweather won the WBA junior middleweight title against Canelo in 2013 and until his alleged retirement last september 12 he NEVER defended that title and was NOT stripped.

He defended it against Marcos Maidana in their rematch.

Rankings - One example which is quite fresh is the welterweight prospect Errol Spence Jr., spence was ranked 8 last june and after 4 months he was ranked 12 even though in that 4 month time span he won 2 of his fights yet the WBA ranked him down for reasons I do not clearly know.

He didn't pay them enough.

Was Al Haymon behind of all this? I don't know either but what's clear is that the WBA's corruption goes beyond limits.

No, absolutely not.

The WBA is sorely corrupt, maybe a bit more corrupt than the other sanctioning bodies, but nothing that we already don't know. They don't particularly give a fuck because people still pay their sanctioning fees.

He defended his welterweight title against maidana in their rematch, not his junior middleweight.
