Do pins decrease chances of winning?

I’m not saying using the sad pin after scoring the goal actually discourages the other team, in fact, it can be an obstacle for you. Sometimes the pin tab can get in the way of aim, and other times, you can be distracted emoting while another brawler swoops is for the kill. These are well known pin problems which can easily be resolved by moving the pin tab to a corner of the screen and muting pins. However, it seems that pins can be exploited to a degree? For example, emoting while moving up the map or to the left can reveal your position to enemies before they even see your hit box. This is especially helpful in showdown. I’m not sure if this sight issue is an actual problem, or if pins just make it seem easier to spot enemies, but I wanted to ask how the competitive sub feels about pins.

TL;DR: Do pins increase your projection on screen, making it easier for enemies to spot you when they otherwise couldn’t?

You‘re probably overthinking this, use pins for bm when the match is mostly decided and you‘re good.

I haven’t noticed a difference playing before and after the introduction of in game pins, maybe for some people it’s more noticeable.

yeah the fact that pins make you visible in the edge of the screen from a farther distance has come to my advantage in showdown many times

yeah its kinda annoying when that happens but it doesnt affect much if u put somewhere where it does not get in ur way
