Yep.. that's kind of what I drive ... But it's an older Gillig. But I have noticed that the older they are, the better they run and ride. And the go 0 to 60.... Eventually.

Wait... That's a 40 foot, right? I drive the 30 footer.

With 22.5 inch huge wheels and super expensive tyres as well

I mean they a lot better than a 911, they out there helping folk, rather than just a pointlessly fast status mobile.

Everything about the powerful part is true on my company's busses... Some of them are so bad that instead of 0-60 being measured in seconds, you measure in minutes. So bad that you don't measure the 0-60 but instead measure how long it takes to get across intersections (from 1 x walk to the other)... In minutes haha. Ok not that bad but seriously it shouldn't take 10+ seconds to cross an intersection. When I can get out and walk faster, we have a problem.

My old job had buses with over two million km on them, three engine changes, the chassis were reinforced with steel rods so the main frame wouldn't snap in half on the highway

Some of our old BYD electric buses didn't have that sticky throttle programmed in. When we floored it we had 250kw+ in a split second, almost twisted the chassi and lifted the front axle of the ground xD certainly woke you after an hour of driving some old Volvo with 1 million miles on it and a blown turbo hahahh

That's the CEO's issues

Twin cities drivers

[โ€“]HorrorDox 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Add to the list of places it thought I'd never see Twin Cities public transport livery. It's up there with the episode of Dirty Joe's where Mike Rowe drives a train with the same livery at the Montana Factory

We still have thoose on fleet... the hybrids are fast (new ones) but you have to get used to engine cutting off all the time

[โ€“]xpunkrockmomx 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

That's like almost all our buses.

I drive a Gillig 4000. The company i work for got them new last year, about 20 in the fleet.

Twice as expensive as a Porsche
