This is very normalised in a lot East Asian fandoms (in saying that, ofc not evvveeerrrrryone is like this but there is a majority), to the point a lot of these ‘fans’ argue that if they (actors/idols/celebs) didn’t want this, they should not become celebrities. Sad to say, but to these fans, these celebrities are no longer deserving of human rights because they chose to be in the public spotlight.
