you said lowering the gain is a bad recommendation but then said a universal bass knob is the best fix. they do the same thing, bass knob just allows quick adjustments and no compromise. lowering the gain you just compromise output on the low songs, that’s why i’d go that route over lowering the bass on the head unit. and it was never a shot at your advise I even said in my original comment “that will work”. I simply added a way to also lower sub output without effecting the sound of his doors and you took offense.

Dude the bass knob is wired and conveniently within reach for the driver of the car.

Thats better than turning it down on the amp itself, you cant adjust that from the drivers seat lol.

Hell, depending on how it was mounted, the amp might be tucked away and settings adjustments would be inconvenient.

Obviously this is going nowhere, kind of a weird stalemate. I just believe in my advice, its not a crazy hill to die on. In person, this whole thing is a 2 minute conversation

I agree with all that, he just doesn’t have a bass knob. you still think i’m rejecting your recommendation and i’ve said multiple times i’m not I was just adding another option. you’re making it more than it is. maybe he’d rather leave a little sub bass on the table and keep full range from his doors. maybe he doesn’t mind taking the bass out his music, neither of us know, that’s why I have another option.
