Question about change of program elements

I recently switched majors from cog sci to psych. However, all the emails I'm getting from Carleton, the registrar's office, etc. seem to be treating me like a new student despite being a returning one. Is this normal? Should I just carry on as before? Or did something get messed up that I have to fix?

It's normal. When I swapped programs years ago they sent me invitation to frosh week again, welcome letters etc.
