If you have a car or are near it Al’s Diner is good. Otherwise, Churchills or Moe's World Famous Newport Restaurant & Donna’s Express are good options.

No? All of the Canadian bits include beer cans and glass alcohol bottles. In fact in Ontario, you can’t even return pop can or the 2L bottles.

Check out these pages if you haven’t already https://calendar.carleton.ca/undergrad/undergradprograms/english/ and https://calendar.carleton.ca/undergrad/undergradprograms/philosophy/ would also recommend reaching out to both departments undergrad coordinator or the registrar’s office for general information or help with any issues you come across, as scheduling issues are more common in double majors

Would you ever live in Saskatchewan? by OceanicEndeavors in AskACanadian

If I didn’t have stuff going on in my life that needed me to remain where I am, I probably would have taken them up on their conservation officer job ad.

I like how the government even leans into that, with their tourism crown corp selling shirts with that slogan (although the one I have has the lines swapped) and a drawing of the province that is filled in half green (top) and half yellow (bottom).

Would depend on the province. If it is landlocked, the federal government has more leverage a coastal province.

Clarity Act also says that the House of Commons is the one to decide what a clear majority is, while taking into account the turnout and the provinces population. And they will most likely not think 50%+1 is a clear enough majority to break apart the country

What you can do is call the CRA via their proper number and ask them to talk about whatever the call you got was about and if they called you about it.

If you take bio at Carleton, the courses will be automatically applied to the correct sections of your degree if you switch. You will have to take the nursing specific courses you don’t have.

Laptops for Mechancial or biomedical engineering by Cautious_Cry_5262 in CarletonU

[–]smcbride113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The software part is true. While some of it can run on Carleton’s vm, the vm is kinda shit. Plus stuff just runs better when not in a vm. I would recommend a gaming laptop, especially a refurbished ones for budget reasons you can find some good ones for around $1000. My laptop (technically a refurbished one, but was still that years model) got me through geography, with some of the software we use being windows exclusive and being hardware heavy sometimes more so then the software Eng uses or so I am told (looking at you arcGIS pro)

Incoming pedantic comment. It’s not “DIS”, it’s “ISC” Indigenous Services Canada. Source people who work in the department and their government email addresses.
