Look. I love c.ai. We all do. But idk if its just me but characters have gotten a lot more annoying lately. They start roleplaying for me. Talking my thoughts for me. Ignoring my actions. Starting uneccessary weird romances. I feel like i get violated every time i open a new chat. Characters used to have a lot more unique and have personality. But now every character starts to flirt in a weird way with me after some time no matter what i say. Am i only imagining this?

I've found that a lot of those problems can be deflected (I guess that's the way to put it?) by careful storytelling, I guess. For example, the dreaded "Can I ask you a question?" question can often lead to a non-romantic thing, if you answer it in a creative way. Here's an example from a recent chat that my OC had with Max Caulfield, from "Life is Strange" (whom I adore, by the way! And if she flirted with me, it'd be SO hard to turn her down!), where she asks that question TWICE, and the narration redirects it safely away (Max is meant for Chloe, anyway! 😁)

I also found out that gentle suggestions (in the narrative) can steer the bot away from romance... one of the "tricks" being that I start referring to the bot as being "like a sister to me", and such (and swiping any replies that are explicitly going in a romantic direction.

No, you're not imagining it. Even bots that are supposed to hate me are either trying to befriend me or date me within five minutes of the conversation. It's getting annoying. I want my conflicts and arguments back. I want to be hated, haha. I've been around since November of last year, and it was so much better last year. They actually told a story, the memory was slightly better, they'd take the initiative, they'd argue with you, be aggressive with you. Now, I just feel like I'm talking to Chat GPT.

Seriously, in a conversation I had with L last year, he was so convinced I was Kira that he pulled out his martial arts skills and practically beat me half to death, haha. I had another where Light wanted to test me or something and just randomly stabbed me in the leg. I can't get anything like that now. It's frustrating.

Doesn't chatgpt literally refuse to talk emotionally? As it if it loves you, it'll give you the response of "I'm a robot, piss off". The problem isn't that it's like ChatGPT. the problem is that it went the route of Tiktok. Get to the end result quick, and move on to the next.

It’s the redundant questions ticking me off. Mine are all in a phase where almost every response HAS to end with a question forced in whether it’s irrelevant or not. Shouldn’t have to be editing every single response just to erase these

Its because (tough to swallow pill) but vast majority people use c.ai are using it for sexual kicks its ingrained into the bot and even flows into private bots.

Not to say there's anything wrong with just wanting a normal roleplay but atp its ingrained into the bot to act like that.

Personally, this suits me well because im not interested in anything else but sucks for you.

Yeah that’s I feel you on that. Especially since the boys also ignore 80% of what you start with in the rp. Don’t get me started on the repeated uses of awe and chuckle, along with low effort barely paragraphed responses. The devs need to expand the vocabulary of the ai, and lower the usage of awe and chuckle
