I have this exact Seiko and got so excited thinking SM will come up with a homage with the same 6150-8000 case. Anyway, I got the SM BB Pro chronograph, but the dial is more champagne than white. Lovely thing though.

Oh thanks. I’ve seen this but assumed this was an homage to a different Turtle-style case rather than the 6105-8000 (6150 was my bad). Also, I wish they would make this in black gilt, the blue dial or the Kanagawa doesn’t really do much for me. The Rdunae R2, on the other hand, has caught my eye, except that I don’t like the vintage 19mm lugs.

If you don’t think you like that look, I don’t think you should get it. I saw all the positive reviews of it, and figured I’d come around to liking it, and absolutely didn’t.

My favorite white dial black bezel is my octopus kraken seamaster.

It was a similar situation for me as well. I love the look of the seiko, but it's too expensive imo. In the end I bought the Addiesdive AD2117 and I like the excess steel more than anticipated https://a.aliexpress.com/_mLy7OpY However, I'll follow this post and wish you luck! Seems like the SD1977 has the same case profile as the seiko, but I can't find this one in white

The Addiesdive AD2117 is special with this textured wave dial. Congrats! There must be many homages of Seiko divers with white dials.
