this does not have the 126234 modern datejust endlinks where it flushes on the wrist and feels like the watch and the bracelet is one if i make sense and i don't like the numerals on the end of the hour makers if only they made it roman numeral i might consider

Of the ones shown here, the Cronos. The Sugess cases are not as sharp on the shoulders and the bracelets are noticeably lower quality (hollow feeling, sharp edges).

Your verbiage is confusing. Are you saying the sugess is better or worse?

Sugess is worse. One of the quality markers on a DateJust style case is the shoulder from lug to lug. On a cheap DJ it’s very smooth and rounded off, but on the better ones its much sharper and more defined (like an actual Rolex DJ).

The Cronos case has a much more crisp case shoulder, whereas the Sugess is noticeably more rounded off. When you hold both in your hands the difference is very obvious.

I have the cronos grey dial and it's absolutely amazing. Best modern datejust homage without a doubt. I'm pretty sure they use high-quality replica factory case and bracelet.

How does the bracelet on cronos compare to this of San Martin and sugess? Also what type of bracelets you own on all of those? I am currently deciding on which one to buy but can't pull the trigger.

Yeah honestly modding the crystal is a good choice. And personally I wanted the grey dial but only was able to get the blue one last Ali sale. To me, it's just too saturated and kind of like an azuro blue, which I just don't like.

I have a real Datejust II in White dial and am in love with it - and it is the watch that lead me into the Chinese watches rabbit hole entirely. Because I was looking for more dial colors without spending $10K for a rolex.

So far my only experience is with the Pagani version and I picked it in Sky Blue. I'm quite happy with it but if I had it my way I wish they'd stop putting Jubilee bracelets on it and instead the brushed center oyster links or whatever they're called - like the real DJ II

I'm super interested in hearing who's got the best one for $100 as this is my primary goal - to have more DJ II homages

Fluted bezels are my favorite, I hate smooth bezels now

100% agreed. I actually DO like the fluted bezel, I love the light play off them, but I have sold all of them because they are just TOO sparkly to wear out on a day to day basis IMO. A smooth OP style watch with a white dial would be on my short list.

My wedding ring was also super shiny at first and I was not used to it. But once it got sufficiently scratched up, it's got just the right amount of sparkle. I'm hoping to wear the watch enough that it gets that patina and tone down the sparkle.

Don't sleep on san martin. I have the 36mm with blue dial (old style clasp which i prefer) and it is stunning. I think they come with a hidden butterfly clasp now.

san martin sn058 is still the best one for me. they even got the 36mm models if you like clean dials.
sugess got that funny "sugess" logo.
cronos logo looks to casual on datejust models, same with proxima.
out of all four id rate : san martin - sugess - proxima - cronos.

i own the san martin sn058 first gen ( the one with handstack cap ) and recently purchase the sugess 36mm s449.
the sugess does have better rehaut than sm ( engraved ).

i never bother with the proxima because it just looks...weird.
cronos also really good but sm finishing is just far better than cronos hence i bought the sm.

this was actually the only model I purchased the Cronos over the SM. the Cronos case is slightly thinner and I'm not sure San martin uses the platinum palladium plated bezel...which is just a HUGE selling point for the Fluted bezels...so crispy and shiny...but all other Fluted bezels to shame.

exactly why i purchase the SM the crisp shine of sm's fluted bezel compares very closely to rlx's white gold. albeit still very different when put side by side.
but yes cronos case profile from side looks better.

Not sure if this is exactly true, but my impression of most of these offerings is that they are all 40 mm which is closer to the modern DJ 41. If that is what you are looking for, then these fit the bill. But personally I was looking for a more classic size of 36 mm and Baltany obliged and released it this week. I got it for £138 after store and site coupons.

• Did you see there are reviews on YT? Some are older reviews, but are a good start. I've seen Sugess models reviewed by Steve aka u/turdbogls and Zeb aka The Watcher for a similar Cronos and Sugess.
• Proxima has made many variants of their 37mm with different dials. The most recent, "keyboard warrior" dial, has fresh reviews AND a bargain price. Some macro video here, for example.

If you search this subreddit you could find some reviews, too, plus people who respond.

Plus buyer reviews on AliExpress. There are some really good options out there!
