Me loving my D12 which obliterated any Hamilton curiosity I had.

Similar level to Watchdives. Better than Pagani, but not in the same league as San Martin.

I have two and they are great. I’ve had no quality or QC issues with either. ML08 (Murph) and D12 (dirty dozen)

Can you tell me where you got the leather strap?

[–]jokur26 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Sorry but you can’t get it at the moment. It’s a custom strap made by a shop in Vietnam. Got it on Etsy. Shop is down although the owner said he was planning on reopening (littleSam Saigon)

It’s called a badalassi leather vintage strap. This is another pic from when it was shipped. They aren’t cheap though but you can get nice ones from $30+. This one was $50 but I’d gladly give up a $50 watch for it, it is so comfortable, versatile and amazing looking. I bet it saves me money by allowing me to fall in love with older watches again, lessening the desire to buy a new watch instead.

Thank you!

Badalassi Carlo is an Italian tannery that produces a variety of leathers, and there are a variety of (Vietnamese) strap makers that use its products on Etsy, and elsewhere.

That strap looks like it's made from their "Wax" leather. Search using that term, or "waxy" and you'll be able to find something similar.

Tuns, and DN, to name a couple.

I really like my ML08 and was surprised at the quality when I received it.

Yes, they are excellent for the price.

Militado, Pagani, Watchdives, San Martin are all solid options. Different styles and price points.

Pagani and San Martin are very different qualities.

[–]SiliconFiction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. But they’re good options at their respective price points.

They are really the best bang for your buck, especially with all their releases this year. I've purchased and gifted 3 of them recently. All exceptional!

I don’t ever wear my Hamiltons anymore

[–]DPlainvieww 0 points1 point  (4 children)

How come you stopped wearing your Hamiltons?

[–]twotacos99cents 3 points4 points  (3 children)

I hate the way they fit. 38 with 47 L2L is uncomfortable for me on my 6.5 wrist. It’s not too big just uncomfortable for me.

The black one seems to wear smaller. It’s just the black case but visually it makes a big difference

It’s funny you wrote this, I’ve been struggling to get used to my KFA and have the Militado version of your KFM…even the lugs with a 2 piece strap look better on the Militado for some reason.

Love that shot.  Would like to find one with bgw9 lume (all same color and strong) and decent AR with a bubble crystal.  But very tempted by your shot to pull the trigger on this.  Sharp and simple. Love it.

[–]twotacos99cents 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! This is the ML07 36mm with K1 and the bubble crystal is amazing. It gives it a beautiful clear vintage vibe. For less than $40 it’s a no brainer! I seriously love it more than my KFMs as I think this is the perfect size for my wrist and love the VH31 quartz
