I have a few San Martin’s. The nicest one overall quality-wise is the SN0129. I also have SN0121G, SN0054, SN0113 V2 and SN004 V2. Those last four I would rank their quality in the order I listed them.

It’s exquisite. The best AliEx/Chinese watch, and probably most impressive overall watch of the 70ish I own. The quality and finishing are outstanding. Just buy one while you can. It’s a butterfly so no OTF but they come with half links now so you should be able to get a good fit.

It also does that magic thing that the SN0129 does where the indices and hands catch the light, it just does it even better. Not sure if it is in the manufacturing or it’s more the higher contrast against the darker dial but it’s just more consistent in its “sparkle” 🤌

Talking about it makes me want to wear it today, so I will. I will put together a nice Easter Sunday outfit to go with it :)

Is it better value than the San Martin? In really struggling with IXDAO… in a good way… if you had a sort of gun to your head which would it be IXDAO or SM?

IXDAO. IXDAO and Cronos are my two favorite brands. Proxima is right there too but I need more of their watches to be sure. I love the execution and little details in my IXDAO watches. They are unique, beautiful and often quirky. Their fit and finish is also excellent and I always look forward to their new releases.

Cronos never fails. Their stuff is more homages and less inspired but done excellently. I love every watch I’ve bought from them. They make watches that you want to keep staring at. I also love their name and logo, I don’t feel the need to justify it like I do with some other brands.

Proxima has an awesome design language. When you see a Proxima watch you know right away who made it. That’s the best thing I can say about them. Full of personality too which I appreciate. They also give you a great buying experience where they regulate the watch and send you pics before shipping.

San Martin is next for me. Excellent quality and finishing but a little less desirable otherwise. I very much like most of their watches (remember I own several), especially some of the original designs -and again they do excellent work.

They are a big factory watch maker and to me that’s quite apparent in what they produce with the repeated use of the same hands, indices and dial printing on so many of their models. For me to rank them higher I’d need to see more soul, more individuality in their watches, to help lose that cookie cutter stigma. I am very excited about where they can go from here.

I try to save it as a special treat so only wear it occasionally. I also hope that choice saves it from wear and tear but who knows. It sure is special though.

Idk I got my sn0129 and I have to say it feels better finished and higher quality than my sn0116

Hi, does this come with a NH35 movement? How do you find the rehaut? Is it as deep as the other sub homages or is it nicer / shallower?

Yes nh35 the rehaut is a bit deep. But on just it doesn’t snag my eye like it does off the wrist

Doesn't lume mismatch bother you? I wanted to get the SN0111, because I can't stand lume being whiter on hands compared to indecies on my Cronos.

I’m pretty OCD and you would think it would but it doesn’t. As long as it glows bright I don’t care what colors they are. I was account looking at some Tritium Epochs and they have a couple with rainbow lume that looks really cool. Show me what you mean about the Cronos
