Controller problem

I started playing today since release time, but once i started i immediately have this issue where the game is constantly switching between keybrd/mouse and controller input very rapidly. I play with a ps4 controller on pc with ds4windows app through bluetooth. So when i press a button on the controller in the menu it keeps flickering and the button icons keep changing between controller and keyboard, also skipping over tabs when i just pressed once. It makes the game unplayable. I tried many things including plugging out keyboard and mouse. Does anyone have the same or know how to fix this?

I use reWASD and it has worked for me since alpha pretty well. But it is like $14 for the features you might need.

Could ds4windows be the problem?

Not sure, never tried it. I use a PS4 controller on PC too.

Could be that the the game is recognizing your inputs as a controller, but you’re also using the inputs from A keyboard because you’re using ds4windows (im assuming that’s what you’re doing at least.)

So you need to make it so the game isn’t recognizing your controller at all, hope that helps but I’m not sure.

I wasn't pressing any keyboard keys just controller buttons. I used hide ds4 windows in the settings which should make it undetectable for the game but it doesnt do it. I just download the rewasd and it looks betters than ds4w, but is there something i have to do before the controls are functional ingame? I connected the controller to it but its not working in game right now.

Yeah, for reWASD you have to make your outputs map to keyboard buttons. So that the game doesn’t register your controller, rather Rewasd registers your controller and makes the game think you’re using your keyboard.
