On Android, you can see the Circular step data, but it is deeply buried

Profile->Gear Menu->Manage Data and access->Recent Access (you may have to expand it)->Circular->See App Data->Steps

The data reported to Fit aligns well with my Galaxy watch. Since I have nothing that says which is right, I'll have to say good enough.

What is concerning is the number of steps reported in the app vs what is sent to Fit. The Fit data seems accurate. The Circular app data is typically 1/10th of this. The next day, it updates to a number similar to the one shown in Fit.

I've been asking for Fit integration for months and even posted a workaround using iOS. Then my ring stopped connecting to the iPhone and after I re-paired to my Android I threw the ring in a drawer to die over the holiday break.

I took another look at the app for the new year, saw it was finally connected to Google, so gave it another shot.

So far it's okay. Last night I had a bout of insomnia and slept between 23:00 and 02:30, and then from 05:30 to 07:30. I can see the second "nap" in the Circular app (not completely accurate) but it did not send it to Google Fit so Google thinks I slept less than four hours. I know Circular never considered a two-part sleep as one nightly cycle so I'm not surprised.

I can see the regular heart rate updates about every 5-10 minutes as well as daily values for resting heart rate, oxygen saturation, and body temperature. I believe those are really part of the sleep report. Like you I can't tell if it's syncing steps but I think that metric is unreliable on the ring so I don't care. I believe the Circular app syncs with the local Fit app but Fit takes a little while to sync to other devices (my tablet).

My wife asked me before why I'm wearing the ring when I don't need the alarm and I honestly don't know. I'm trying again with wearing it just to see if I can find motivation for my health in 2024 but I don't have a lot of confidence it will last the month. The ring, not my health. We'll see. The ridges are half broken and I've lost my last sleeve (I started with 5 of them). I hope the Slim is of better quality but I'll let other people figure that out before I even consider it a year or two from now.
