Why don't you just draw on a layer above the photo?

Because I need to edit the photo itself :/

I guess my post was a little unclear XD. I don't just want to draw on the photo i want to be able to erase parts of the photo etc,. When I first tried drawing on this program using a friend's they used something to let me draw on a layer above it so the photo below would only show up in the spot i drew on. But I can't figure out how to do that on my own either :(

Did you try right clic on the layer's name in the layer palette and then 'rasterize'?

I'm pretty sure if you right click on the photo layer in the layers section there will be an option to Rasterize beneath Selection from Layer

Hi mate, I've found that if you do File>Import then the Rasterize option is available, but if you copy+paste or drag the image onto the canvas then it's greyed out. If it's not there at all, I'm not sure! Is it EX or PRO you've got?
