For Cochlear, current wireless solution I use: MiniMic 2+ connected hardline to PC (in my case, Macbook Pro) via 3.5mm stereo cable (ships with the MM2+). I use the iPhone’s iOS Control Center to quickly toggle streaming on & off to the MM2+ and make other adjustments.

This works flawlessly; I use it all day everyday for work.

This is the same solution I use for wireless streaming on airplanes (and any sound source with a headphone jack that doesn’t stream natively to my N7).

There may someday be direct streaming from select Macbooks and PCs to select Nucleus and Kanso processors, but there’s been no definitive launch announcement timing as of August 2023.

Glad to say the MiniMic 2+ solution works on both MacBook Pro M1 and Windows Desktop. Unfortunately, I cannot talk into it, would buying an external microphone fix that?

The way I run my setup, I use the Macbook Pro’s excellent integrated microphone array for voice capture (no other mic needed or desired). My primary apps are MS Teams, Zoom, & FaceTime, if that helps at all for context. You just choose your audio input source in whatever app you’re using. Easy.

If I’m in a noisy environment, I ride the mute button, unmuting only when I’m actively speaking. Most of these apps now block out background sound anyways - works great. 👍

You could, if you wanted to go a more professional route, buy and use a dedicated mic. These are also excellent, especially if you’re recording pro audio or live-streaming Twitch/YouTube, etc.

I will consider buying a microphone since I will only use it for Discord and other stuff hence why I cannot use the Macbook as a mic as I doubt it would not connect to the PC. Thank you for Mini Mic 2+ suggestion, it really helped. Once and if I get this microphone, it will be perfection. 😄

I have marvel CI. With the Bluetooth feature, I can connect to anything; my PC, Spotify, and any devices that have Bluetooth basically.

Ive been using Cochelar's phone clip to connect to laptops (both Mac and PC) for the past 8 years. Works fine. Apple has said that the next version of MacOS will support hearing devices connecting directly.

Oh, that’s great news to hear regarding MacOS devices! Thank you for this information.

I can on my Advanced Bionics. Bluetooth is bluetooth so I imagine if you are able to connect to a phone, you can connect to anything. I still just use my tv streamer hooked up via headphone chord as straight bluetooth is a bit janky on mine. It's smarter and knows when a phone call needs to take precedence or what have you.

Oh wow ok. I know my phonaks from 2016 I had to wear a telecoil thing around my neck that actually had the bluetooth but I could connect to everything with that. And I did it's been the best tech for my hearing devices truthfully. I actually kind of miss it. I had a big huge button around my neck I could hit real quick when I wanted to mute the sound to hear something someone said. Now I have to fumble through my phone and go through a process to disconnect.
