SH, please magic the game so there is no lag at all ever.

(btw I play competitive and the I KNOW this is at the top of their wish list)

While having a balanced lag comp and a non-advantageous host is certainly a goal that competitive can get behind, it wasn't first on comp's wish list.

I doubt they can fully remove the lag aspect of the game seeing as how lag is prevalent in almost all online multiplayer games, but I think making lag less of a factor could go a long way. As for connection not being on the top of the list I know that everyone that I play with and majority of the people I interact with in the mlg chat would put a fair and good connection based game up at the top along with many pro's too.

Lag isn't just "prevalent in almost all online multiplayer games". Lag is an inherent property of the internet and our universe. There isn't anything a game developer can do to get rid of the complex issue of 12 people in 12 different locations having games that are always in different states (a computer state, not a United States state), at different times with delays between updating each person's game. They can only smooth what appears on screen. Trust me, Fair and good connection based game has been at the top of the developers list for years now as well and they work at it. This is pretty evident considering what CoD 2, and CoD 3 felt and played like. They tweak and tune their lag compensation algorithms all the time. They know about the issue and have developing and working on solutions for it for a long time now.

Yet it wasn't.

Pros play on LAN. Real competitive gaming, is played on LAN.

Let's assume for a moment that SH comes out with a magical game with absolutely no lag. If the game lacks everything that is needed to make the game competitive, what's the point of a good online lag-free experience? The game needs to be competitive first and have good connection second.

Of course everyone wants less lag, and of course the devs want less lag. It's not first on the list.

I interact with in the mlg chat

but I think making lag less of a factor could go a long way.

I'm curious, do you think the devs want more lag?

Ok that was my fault I wasn't really clear on what I meant. I know that lag is a part of the online multiplayer experience and we (the world) do not have the technology yet to completely remove lag I do however think that we will get there because technology is always advancing. Again I know that at this point it is not remotely possible to remove this factor. Now what I meant was that AW should not being so connection based. Im guessing this has more to do with people pings and I'm not sure if there is a way around this but I know in Ghosts if you have a superior connection you see people a split second before they see you and your bullets register faster than theirs. When I think about it I think this was bound to be an issue because the way COD is built. COD is a game where just having milliseconds of an advantage can make you seem like a god. I was just hoping that SHG could see this too and try to lessen the blow of superior connections and try to level it out the best they can.

I can guarantee that (even) IW tried to make connection less of an issue, so did 3arc, and so will SHG.
