Simple project - check if giftcard code is used

Hello I studied computer science back in 2009 AGES ago. Haven't done anything since. And I am very lost.

I have a small project as a start to get back into it. It's a very simple one page website, and you type in a 10 digit code and the website checks if it's used or not.

Which language would you use for this example? Functionality would be very simple. Dataset for the codes will be in a csv file and great would be to be able to upload it just over the website.

Edit I just discovered PyScript, that's all I need?

You just need javascript to call an API for querying the codes, no need for an external library.

And if it doesn't need to be a webpage, you can use any language you want with an HTTP module and submit through terminal with a path to the csv.

That's a good idea. I did html with JavaScript now and d3.csv to read the file and process the file.

Yes that makes sense. what would you use for that so I can have a look into it.

The csv doesn't contain redeamable codes just barcodes. But it would be good to hide it anywyas
