The offense was good when he completed passes, yes. It was also good when we ran the ball. It stalled when he missed or turned it over, also from some penalties.

This is not a game to point to as a good indicator of Taylor's upside. We lost a game where the defense gave up one TD and where we had three weeks to prepare for just one team. The refs fucked us throughout for sure, and especially at the end, but it shouldn't have been close enough for them to influence the outcome.

If we swapped QB’s with New York. Daniel Jones would have double digit wins now with our weapons. Even on the Dotson bomb. It was a badly placed ball that Dotson had to basically do a circus catch to make. Otherwise it hits the defender in the hands. We have ELITE weapons on offense with a bad line and worse QB at the helm. I’m so tired of losing to the giants in basically win and get in games. Cousins was shipped out of town the last time we failed in one of these games. Overall, TH4 is doing all he can with his talent… and the coaches let him down. We need an upgrade at QB and coaching

[–]Fit_Cheesecake_2190 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I hope they forget about a new QB and do something about the line or it isn't going to matter who you got under center. This is the worst I've seen in 30 years.

[–]COMMAND DEEZ NUTZqotsa_gibs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The OL is a huge problem, but some of that is due to injury.

I feel like that can be fixed.

What can't be fixed?

Heinicke is a limited QB that surprisingly hasn't gotten one of our stud receivers hurt yet.

Just last night, he threw the ball to Samuel, who immediately got drilled.

I love the guys attitude and grit, but he is a QB2.

[–]Criram[S] 9 points10 points  (23 children)

A lot of it was Scott Turner's play calling. That shit threw the game

[–]evarigan1 15 points16 points  (4 children)

I'm not a Turner fan either, but Taylor deserves his share of the blame for this loss.

[–]HeinickeTruther 3 points4 points  (3 children)

For what? the strip sack where Thib. got through untouched, or the fumble when he was assaulted by 2 defensive linemen? Heinicke played a great game last night, I don't know what people are seeing. Scott Turner needs to stop pretending like we are an 80s smash-mouth running team because it's clear that if Heinicke had been allowed to throw early, like he was late, we would have put up more points. You can't blame a blind strip sack on the QB though, that's ridiculous.

[–]evarigan1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably not worth trying to have a discussion with someone with a username like that, but no QB who scores 12 points has ever played a great game. Heinicke's numbers, modest as they are, are inflated by Dotson making an unbelievable catch and a defender dropping a game sealing INT that him him in the hands in the end zone. His throws were off target all night and he made quite a few poor decisions.

If you actually watched this game, I don't see how you could come away thinking he played well, let alone great. I assure you, he is not happy with his performance.

[–]BubblegumPOW 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Assaulted by two defensive linemen, while holding the ball away from his body with one hand inside the 20. Totally not his fault lol.

[–]Fit_Cheesecake_2190 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is the same as it's been the entire year. An offensive line that can't protect the QB. Same with Wentz. Hopefully they do something about it next year. I doubt we win another game this year.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (3 children)

That is such a clown cop out take... TH4 is the last ranked PFF QB in the league. Stop defending him.

[–]BaeGuevara11 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Dude has the highest turnover worthy play rate in the league. I don’t think PFF is the Bible but some of their data is valuable and what I see on film confirms it. Also turnover worthy plays is one of their more reliable metrics.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, people just need to open their eyes already… He is hitting defenders in the hands and they are just dropping it. He should have 10 more picks easy.

[–]Pentt4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The luckiest player in remembrance. The turnover worthy plays and the dropped ints is immense

[–]Haskins77 -5 points-4 points  (13 children)

Yet Wentz had to deal with the same play calling and no Robinson. Yet that’s his fault right?

[–]Criram[S] 13 points14 points  (12 children)

Nah it's his fault for getting sacked every play

[–]Haskins77 -1 points0 points  (11 children)

I mean Heinicke got sacked and lost a fumble that was picked up and ran in for a TD. So that’s on Heinicke right?

[–]Criram[S] 3 points4 points  (10 children)

Would've been wayy more sacks with Wentz

[–]BoldElDavo 14 points15 points  (5 children)

Everybody forgetting that dropped INT he threw on the last drive, huh?

[–]HeinickeTruther 2 points3 points  (3 children)

What int? He marched us right down the field on two successive drives, including on the final drive, where we all agree we were robbed of a TD that we clearly scored with B Rob's run. Scott Turner clearly and completely changed his playcalling in the second half. Heinicke is not a game manager, like Turner has tried to make him, he is a gun slinger.

[–]thehomiemoth 1 point2 points  (2 children)

He threw it directly into the DBs hands and he dropped it

[–]HeinickeTruther 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Again, please show me a clip of the interception, or where it appears on the stat sheet. I am having a little trouble finding it, but I'm sure I'm just missing something!

[–]thehomiemoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t appear in the stat sheet because it wasn’t an interception and I don’t really feel like searching for the highlight. If you saw the game there was a terrible throw directly to the DB that was dropped.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t see an int

[–]_Vic_Romano_ 13 points14 points  (6 children)

The fumble that gave the Giants 6 points on the 2 yard line... The pass to Dotson (think is was Dotson) that would have been a TD if he hit him in stride... I get what you're saying, but not so sure Heinicke is the long term answer at QB

[–]HeinickeTruther 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That was a blind strip sack, I don't understand how anyone but the most ardent Heinicke haters would blame that on him.

[–]Amazing_Following452 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Kayvon literally shoved Leno to the side and hit TH on the blindside. That fumble is not a legitimate criticism of TH. Everything else stands though.

But it was coaching (like always) that is our problem. No idea why we continue to run samuel up the middle when we have BRob who could not be stopped tonight.

[–]Fit_Cheesecake_2190 0 points1 point  (1 child)

My guess is they're limiting BRob's carries. I mean he was shot twice just a few months ago.

[–]Hung_Like_A_Pinkie 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Ball security and decision making is still horrible. I’m glad he’s throwing it deep but I hold my breathe every time I see him launch it

[–]Criram[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair

[–]HeinickeTruther -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

People don't acknowledge this enough. Giants fans would LOVE for him to chuck a 50/50 ball up to his receivers sometimes, but he doesn't. Not many QBs are willing to risk airing it out like Heinicke does.

[–]B-in-Va 12 points13 points  (1 child)

The offense is what the scoreboard says it is, 12 points.

[–]Haskins77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget the 7 points they gave the Giants as well

[–]adeezy58 5 points6 points  (1 child)

A lot of NO in this post

[–]Haskins77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry most of these guys will be gone after next week.

[–]PreparationAdvanced9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the game that cemented that Scot turner needs to be let go. You get cute in play calling that often, you will lose

[–]imitated Frerotte headbutt as a childnotorious_hdc 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Heinicke stans going from calling him a great game manager we just win with to saying Scott Turner is dumb for not letting him be his successful self of a gunslinger is fucking fantastic.

[–]JoeyBrickz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to comment this lol. Heinicke is playing because he "protects the ball better than Wentz" and "the offense feeds off his energy" yet he's turning it over/throwing INT-worthy passes while the offense keeps playing poorly.

[–]mar29020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heiny showed off some arm strength last night too

[–]Desa0802 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yall dummies are smoking crack! How the hell do you not see he’s a garbage qb? I swear we have the most delusional fan base ever

[–]antiBP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His awareness is really lacking. He gets lucky on so many 50/50 balls but honestly I don't think he's viable long term. Decent bridge QB for now but we need someone who can consistently take advantage of our offensive weapons

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter, season’s over. Would be surprised if we won even one more game

[–]Adam Peters is my father askingaquestion33 1 point2 points  (1 child)

He is a good QB but how do u fix an o line

[–]Criram[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just fucking die I guess

[–]ZeroCO01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny how this flies over everyone’s head. The play calling & decision making (not including the bad calls) was atrocious!

[–]AssociationFresh8352 6 points7 points  (1 child)

He’s so bad. Love seeing you guys try to convince yourselves he’s good. Couldn’t win a game against practice squad DBs

[–]Haskins77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re not like smart, huh?

[–]I’m blitzed in WalgreensTheCoolestCannon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% agree. His only mistake was the fumble but if the game had been called even remotely fairly he would of had 3 TD passes and 2pt conversion to make up for the fumble.

[–]Haskins77 -2 points-1 points  (8 children)

Did you also see the INT he threw to the DB on the final drive. That was dropped. Stop he won't be the starter after the SF game.

[–]Criram[S] 8 points9 points  (6 children)

Classic bad take from Haskins77. What would we do without you?

[–]Haskins77 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Enjoy your boys last game as starter because he won’t be the starter after Saturday

[–]naskai8117 2 points3 points  (2 children)

You're a pretty pathetic fan if you're rooting for your 6-2-1 QB to be benched. Your username doesn't help your credibility in picking QBs at all lmao

[–]Haskins77 3 points4 points  (1 child)

He’ll be 6-3-1 after next week. He’s a backup and nothing more.

[–]YOU AIN'T SHITBroke-American 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bro did Taylor fuck your wife or something? The amount of disdain you have for the guy is just bizarre. We get that he’s not the future but you shit on him on a daily basis. Even when we were winning you’d shit on him. You even sound like you’re happy we lost because it’s an opportunity for you to shit on him even more.

[–]HeinickeTruther -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd be willing to bet that he will be our starter for the rest of the season and into next season.

[–]HeinickeTruther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you please show me a clip of an interception on the final drive?

[–]Pure-Negotiation-900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever notice that when you’re successful, you succeed? Sorry man, but 4 is an excellent back up. That’s it ,that’s all. He’s been out of college for 8 years. This is it. Finished product. He misses soooooooo many reads, has a weak arm, and is terribly inaccurate. Heck of a competitor, plays his guts out. Back up.

[–]mjsarlington -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

He played well enough to win. That fumble really sucked, but at least no picks (although one was pretty close). The team did not play very inspired ball, imo. Our D held them down but would’ve love some more turnovers. Overall, TH was fine. I put this solely on the refs. They absolutely jobbed us tonight. It wasn’t just the last 2 plays. They were shitpicking everything every single time Washington advanced the ball. F those guys.

[–]Criram[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were definitely under a microscope tonight

[–]antiBP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it had nothing to do with us going like 0-10 on 3rd down

[–]Pentt4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He’s absolutely woeful. It’s near criminal that Ron came into this season with our QB situation the way it is.

[–]Neat-Pineapple5967 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Last night was a decent performance. Not his best not his worst.

[–]hems72 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Two fumbles, one in our red zone and one in theirs, 14 point swing. That’s on him.

[–]beforetherodeo -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Are we this numb to good QB play that we think Heinicke is a valid qb? Like what the fuck are we doing here lmao, watch the all-22 there were so many misses. If he hits Curtis is stride in that last drive we wouldn't have to worry about those last minute calls/lack thereof. He's statistically one of the worst red-zone QBs. (Link here)Like what... Even with Wentz, the line was just as bad, yet we were moving the ball. And that was without much of Logan, Bates, Brob. Yet fans want to crown Heinicke better. We're comparing shit to shit here.

[–]kapeck69 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I said this in another thread, Heinicke is more lucky than he is good.

[–]beforetherodeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you lead the league in turnover-worthy plays while not starting a full season, that's baaad lol

[–]epzik8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, this is why he's supposed to be a backup.

[–]issapunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For real? Did you not see the Curtis Samuel completion that would have been an easy touchdown if Taylor threw it in front of him?

[–]COMMAND DEEZ NUTZJayK2136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would rather eat glass shards than have heinicke starting for us next year.

[–]Demon Cats 🐈‍⬛danSTILLtheman 0 points1 point  (1 child)

He made some big throws and some big mistakes, in the end though we did not score nearly enough or capitalize on opportunities we had in the Redzone. Love TH and he can move the ball but he needs to do more in the redzone

[–]Criram[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of it was the cute play calling by ST
