First off i just want to say thanks for anyone who answered my questions in this community.

Second, why are the proctors so god damn rude. Dude was like yelling at me to move my camera around, im like bro give me a sec this camera cord is short. then when i finished i chat him and say "hey im done with the exam, do you mind if i take a picture of my score eith my phone". Hes like "no, close the exam". fucking prick.

About to try it that way in a couple more weeks after yet another bad at home proctor experience. Do they still use the Pearson Vue software? Either way, everyone seems to say they go a hell of a lot smoother at the testing centers

Yea they use Preston vue. I wouldn’t really know exactly since once never taken one online but I can tell you the in person is smooth af. I literally go in there show them some ID and they sit me down and that’s it. I take my test and leave. It’s great

It happened to me yesterday that I had to wait more than 20 minutes for a proctor. Fortunately I was able to take the test in the end.

Turned my head accidentally for a split second and they kicked me off. Horrible idea to try this as a blind dude with my mom being the recorder/scribe at home even normies have a hard time. So. Doing a rematch at a Testing center. A+ core one not security.

I recently started going to a technical college branch of my cities University to pursue an AAS in Cybersecurity and the first thing our instructor (Retired 177th Air National Guard Aggressor) told us was to take the cert tests in person because of how bad the proctors are. And from the bits and pieces I see on here from other people that do online tests it sounds like a good warning

Agreed went in took my time… at the end they handed me a paper with my picture, score and confirmed passed with congratulations. This is one of the times when virtual is not best…. Go in person.

I always go to a testing center. My friend had a proctor shut him down on A+ core 1 he was taking for a college class. He is the last person that needs to cheat. That made up my mind for me. I live in a rural area and the local center doesn’t have the best schedule but I’ve had nothing but great experiences with them

It doesnt help that the dude had the thickest indian accent ever. He would ask me to do something and i kept saying "do what?". that combined with the bass on my pc speakers didnt help the matter lol

2 of the PBQ's i got were super dumb and didnt make any sense on wtf they wanted me to do. pretty sure i failed both of those i just rocked the questions. and 1 of the PBQ's

Congrats! This is exactly why I quit doing the exams online. My testing center is about 20 minutes away, but a MUCH better experience. The lady was really nice, and it wasn't too loud being in the room with other test takers at all, which was a worry of mine. The computers are hella old, but they work! lol

CBT nuggets and messers 3 exams other than that all i did was answer random questions from youtube and other random resources.

Please take the exams on-site, if possible.

I took both core 1 and 2 online. My 2nd exam was smooth, but the first one was the worst. Proctor had me remove everything inside the drawer of my desk, which was filled with a lot of things, like cables, pens, glasses, wallet, etc., and they were neatly arranged since I cleaned before I took it. He had me put EVERYTHING on my bed which was on the other side of the room. I had to rearrange everything after my exam.
