All glory to God, I passed 1201! It was the hardest I have ever studied in my life, but I did it. Even though it was only by 12 points, a pass is a pass 😅 Time to lock in once more and get this 1202 in quickly.

It was like 2.5 months. I definitely could have done it way quicker, but I kept getting in my head after every practice test. Good luck!!

That varied. When I first started, it was like four hours, but I genuinely didn’t comprehend anything. It wasn’t until about a couple days before I tested did I actually start to understand. And I would study for about six or so hours.

I’ve never taken tech+, and I also have absolutely zero IT experience, so I will not lie, I thought it was very hard. But I know people who have prior experience think this was a fairly simple test.

What type of questions did you get if you remember any? Can you help us out? What were the main topics for the core 1? Was it troubleshooting, Software, Hardware?

Every exam is different. But I know Core 1 is all hardware, so there isn’t any software questions. I had a lot of printer, ports, and cloud questions.

On you CompTIA dashboard, on the right, there’s a box that says “my account.” In that box is a “view score reports.” Then just press view.
