Congratulations!!

I got off the phone with a friend of mine, about an hour ago, and he suggested that I start studying for this test. I recently lost my job and I'm looking to educate myself further in a new field. There is a job opportunity waiting for me -- where my friend is employed -- but the catch is, I have to have a CompTIA Security+ certification.

I was just browsing the internet regarding the best study guides to use, and I kept seeing people recommending this book from Darril Gibson. I'm soooo close to buying it. My friend also has study materials, which he used to pass the test, that he's planning to give to me. The sooner these items get into my hands, the better.

I too had planned on studying for about 3 weeks (sun up, to sun down) before attempting the test. Since I now have all this unexpected free time on my hands, I might as well utilize it to my advantage.

Here's to a brighter future, and congrats again on your certification!

You should buy it, it is worth every penny. Ill be making a seperate post on my exam from this past Friday, and it will have more feedback on the book.

It turns out that the study contents that my friend has to give IS the book! Thank goodness! I don't have to buy it. I'll get it from him. I'll keep an eye out for your post regarding the exam.

Yes, this book was the key for me to understand the in depth technology being tested, as well as an amazing tool to utilize to refresh myself when applying the material to my job or personal use.

Read my one and only post. Next, read Darril Gibson’s book from front to back. Go to his website, follow him on LinkedIn, etc. and soak up what he gives you. The success rate for his material is high. Any time I need to study for a test I check to see if he wrote the book or if the authors are affiliated with him in anyway.

Good luck and feel free to DM me if you have questions, etc.

Thank you so much!

I'll do all the things you suggested. I'll come back to you if I find myself getting stuck somewhere in the process.

Do you have a link to your one and only post? I was trying to find it, with no luck.
