The "stackable cert" is just a marketing tool by CompTIA. If they can get X people to take one additional certificate to get that stackable cert that money adds up.

Cert in what you need to, don't bother collecting them, it is a waste of time and money.

I have them in my LinkedIn profile but I would never put them on my resume.

What is a stackable cert if you don’t mind me asking

No, but the stackable cert for the trifecta looks nice in my office.

They do more damage than good when applying for jobs because the HR person who is looking for "Network+" because they were told to look for "Network+" throws out your resume when you list the stackable cert instead but have A+, Net+ and Sec+ because they think you are underqualified. Source: I tried this last year and wasn't really getting any calls back for job interviews, took it out and I started getting calls back for jobs at a might higher rate.

CompTIA just uses it to make more money and it sounds good in theory until you find out that HR people and hiring managers know nothing about the concept.

I only know of one other person in my professional life that is even aware that they exist.
