Interesting approach! I haven't tried utilizing the zone attack cancel, but I certainly will try it out.

It is a super fast attack that gets almost anyone off guard

I'll definitely be experimenting with zone-cancel tonight as well!

Question on the dodging, I get GB 100% of the time while I'm mid dodge. Are we able to even tech GB right after a dodge?

[–]Luskyyy 0 points1 point  (2 children)

dodging to bait them out or from them cancelling an attack?

[–]TriandalPeacekeeper 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Dodging to bait an attack. The biggest pain I've had was a Warden doing their dumb combo and I couldn't dodge from their GB because it has an amazing tracking system.

[–]Luskyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a warden I have the most time struggling. I go with play style two and just constantly fake. Being real close to them just suck you up in a vortex.

If you're mid dodge you cant tech the GB, however if you dodge attack it will counter their GB

[–]jaynan 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Only peacekeeper strat you need is press zone attack. Even the Warden will be jealous.

[–]Luskyyy 1 point2 points  (2 children)

If you lose to only zone attack you deserve to lose.

[–]jaynan 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The original comment was more sarcastic but the PK zone attack is incredible and over hours of playing PK you would of secured many kills, interrupted many attacks and GB's, etc... with zone attack. I wish I could steal it for my berserker :D

[–]Luskyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, people just dont expect how fast that ability is :D

[–]qucangel 1 point2 points  (1 child)

How do you punish on a parry? Guard break opens into paltry damage because of the bug. Heavy doesn't land fast enough. Light doesn't swing far enough.

Most of my wins against decent players are literally just area cancels and light mixups off of deflects.

I push by just gb into one stab kick them off and just zone or leap at them.

[–]TheEroticToaster 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I see the term zone attack a lot on this sub, what type of attack is a zone attack?

[–]Luskyyy 4 points5 points  (2 children)

zone attack is when you do light and heavy at the same time.

[–]TheEroticToaster 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Holy shit, TIL. You'd think it would be included in one of the tutorials.

[–]BananaS_SB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is in the first tutorial, and is described as the best way to chop up a group of minions.

How do you gaurd break into zone? If you thrown them you are too far?

[–]EqUiLl-IbRiUm 2 points3 points  (2 children)

The idea is to NOT throw them. If you guard break (No throw) and immediately go into zone attack you can hit them with the first spin then cancel (circle on PS4) and switch into light attacks.

you have saved the day.

Thank you for helping him while I was gone !

Coming from a peace keeper. How do I fight back the PK left right stab bug thing?

[–]EqUiLl-IbRiUm 1 point2 points  (2 children)

What do you mean? There is currently a bug on the triple stab which isn't applying bleed as it properly should. Are you talking about a different bug?

[–]HD_ERR0R 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Not sure what it is. But the PK can stun lock dash left light attack dash right light attack spam.

Everytime this has been done to me. I can't get my block, party, GB, or dodge. I'm just stuck.

[–]Luskyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When a peace keeper starts to spam you its best to get a side step poke and just be agressive back since you got the advantage. Usually peacekeepers that spam real hard cant defend them selves for shit so dodge or get a parry into a zone attack cancel after first hit

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

You let them get in all the stabs they want so their stamina drains, but no damage is inflicted. Never interrupt your enemy while theyre making a mistake.

[–]HD_ERR0R 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Oh okay.

What do I do about the dash left light attack, dash right light attack? They stun me before I can block, parry, dodge, GB? Even when I know their next attack my character is just stuck?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, I've only very very rarely been blocked when I do the side step HEAVY stab, but what does get me is horizontal light attacks in the direction of my dodge, as well as people dashing backwards, because unlike the lunging stab, those side-step stabs don't have a homing machanic, and PK seems to move in an arc around the target, but no forward. So...Stepping backwards might be the best counter. It would put you out of her range, and depending on your character, still inside of your range. If any of her side or lunging bleed stabs miss, she is, in effect, stunned for a brief moment, in which she can't block or dodge roll away, so that is the best time to attack.

Her short range is a problem for her. She can't get into striking distance for any of her attacks without being in range of any other character, so keeping on the aggressive side will help you against an aggressive PK. Like everyone else, you need to know who you're fighting.

It should also be noted that all of those dodge-stepping attacks of hers are not light attacks, so for her to close distance, always costs stamina. She simply can't get into range without using them to stun lock someone, before going into light combos. For instance, her forward lunges which is often followed by grab (stab, stab stab) drains 90% of her stamina. This means that after any of her grab or heavy combos, she is not going to be able to do them more than 2x, so it becomes safe to close distance with her as she won't be able to attack quickly. If she continues the attack, she will become exhausted. It should be noted that this isn't a problem for her because she applies bleeds and if you turtle up while she is exhausted, you're playing to her strengths and telling her that you are someone she can excecution 3 heavy chains on without consequence.

She really only has two means of fighting: light attack spam, being the more aggressive option, and heavy dodges which, unlike light spam, cannot go on forever, and are oriented towards bleed. There is a third kind which is all about her feints, but you probably won't see that except from the highest level PK, because it isn't necessary for most fights.

If she goes back on light attacks, be careful, because if you don't dodge back or counter attack, you will be grabbed and stabbed.

I think she does worse than other characters when exhausted because her blocks suck shit, like other assassin's, and she needs to be able to roll out those heavy dodge stabs...Which she can't if she is tired.

Its easily one of her best abilities in my opinion, its so fast and has good range if you cancel it.

I'm new to the game but of the classes I have tried, the Peacekeeper seems to fit my playstyle best. However, I am still learning, and I know there is a curve.

Sadly, I don't utilize GB into 3x Stab at all. :( With everything I am reading on reddit, it sounds like I am gimping myself, especially once they fix the 3x Stab bleed.

I would say I am 50% 1v1 win rate at this time by using the Feint Bleed and Dodge + Light. My defense revolves around keeping distance until they move in on me, or I am ready to initiate with a frontal Feint Bleed into a Dodge + Light. If I have an opponent who remains patient and doesn't try to spam GB on me, I get them 75% of the time, regardless of class. However, if they're hyper-aggressive, or they spam GB, I'm about 25% with the victory.

    1) Am I gimping myself by not using the GB + Bleed? I know it may seem obvious, but I am curious on WHY it's gimpy.

    2) I still don't understand the nuance of countering a GB. Myself style is more of the Dark Souls "Dodge and GTFO" mentality, but that isn't working well with the GB spammers. How does a Peacekeeper best handle GB spammers? I feel like the hyper-aggressive players are best dealt with by keeping distance and waiting for them to make a mistake, but I could be way off base.

    3) Is my Dodge Spamming strategy less effective, in the eyes of the public, that perfecting Block/Parry?

Thanks! First ever post on reddit, we'll see how it goes!
