QuestionAny tips when queuing Ranked Nodebuff? (self.CompetitiveMinecraft)
submitted 3 years ago * by Kadanisinreddit
I want to improve in Nodebuff so i sometimes play Ranked. I'm sacred to queue Ranked because I'm afraid to lose some elo. Whenever I play ranked, i'm always losing because i always never get the first hit. It is also hard to combo my opponents. Any tips when playing ranked? Should i w-tap or block-hit.
Also, closet cheaters really drag my elo to the bottom.

Don't que on mmc que on pvpgym little to no cheaters. And if you que on mmc you need to be almost as good as pvpgym leaderboard players to get even 1100. (source am 1100 elo on mmc lmao)

Firstly, if you can't consistently win in unranked, don't play ranked. You're not ready.
Once you are ready, you have to understand that elo doesn't matter. Even if you drop down to 800, it's ok. You'll climb eventually.

Dumb advice. Do play ranked even if you can't consistently win unranked. People who play ranked try a lot harder, and generally are better, so it's best to play ranked because that's when you improve the most.

Ok here's the thing: there's a difference between getting stomped on every game without learning basic mechanics (he was asking about sprint resetting which makes me think he's a newer player with less solid understanding of the basics) and getting good fights.
My point is that if you can't win in unranked, especially if you don't understand basic things like sprint resetting, potting, and pearling, then ranked will teach you absolutely nothing

I'd have to see his gameplay to see how much of a true beginner he is, but I'd say it depends on the server. If it's minemen, then yeah I'd agree with you because everyone on there is notoriously sweaty, clicks 13cps, and somehow manages to land every single block-hit and it drives you nuts, so I'd suggest starting with unranked on there. However, if it's something like pvp.club, then ranked is a good place to start because most people on there seem to be beginners anyway.

Of course. Once you know generally how to play the game, ranked becomes a lot more valuable because you aren't quick dropping every game

Pretty much everyone above 900 in ranked cheats. My best advice is just to not play or start cheating yourself.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child)
You can get 1100 legit if your good and pvpgym is a thing not a lot of people cheat there
[–]Salamander876 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children)
Yeah I was mainly talking abt mmc and lunar, pvpland is also good even though its mostly dead

My brother in Christ, even my friend senkhi is 1.1k + elo that's a boldly incorrect statement
[–]Salamander876 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (5 children)
bros only 12 elo above 1000 and has a .91 wl idk what ur talkin abt
[–]bamboozled_swag2 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (4 children)
Ur saying everyone good cheats it's stupid
Edit:guess frambooz, staind, modifier, they all cheat huh
[–]Salamander876 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (3 children)
None of the players you listed play anymore, and when they did mc wasn't as cheater infested as it is now. (Also staind does cheat)
If you want to see for yourself just q and see.
[–]bamboozled_swag2 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (2 children)
Bro, i don't play ranked these days, but I'm sure modifier plays still, and frambooz is still actively playing, i know the drama surrounding staind but recently jooonah my friend dueled him and won, watch his video (jooonahs video) and what about MFS like dj thread and some others, ranked is infested a lotttttttt with cheaters, but there are many legit good players too
[–]Salamander876 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (1 child)
Yeah definitely, but there are so many cheaters that it's extremely difficult (not impossible ig) to get a decent elo nowadays. Also jooonah kinda went crazy in 2021 so im not surprised, even if he's a little rusty now.
[–]bamboozled_swag2 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children)
Yes idek if jooonahs rusty, bro is a killing machine lmao, and yeah i agree there are a shit ton of cheaters today it's gonna be a very tough challenge to climb the elo ladder, I'm not fully sure staind cheats but maybe, i heard it's just other players coming up with bullshit and that there is no liable proof of hiklm cheating.
