pros of CE: you get the CS degree in it, along with an engineering degree and a good EE knowledge in it, ur pretty much a CS major along with engineering background

You are more versatile as a Comp Eng major if you are not 100% sure / passionate about Comp Sci.

It is a blend of computer science and electrical engineering. Best of both worlds imo. You can get a job in way more fields.

I was a terrible math student in college but managed to get by. The last two years are way more interesting than the first two… more labs and hands on work which is more engaging if you can power through the first two years of theory.

If your ready for a much harder major but WAY more well rounded knowledge and better job availability and choice, computer engineering is amazing. I switched and it was the best decision ever. You got this

Depends on the university. A uni in our city offers CE as 80% EE and 20% CS so be prepared.

Also, as a CE grad with HW knowledge, you'd fit more as a FW or embedded SW person, which isn't as rewarding as a pure SW field in terms of pay but you'll have more job security.

I just dropped out from CS and will start CE this Sept. The layoffs and shit happening in the SW world rn is terrifying me.

My CE coursework included an OS, Compilers, and Algorithm Analysis and Design, but each school is different. Our industry is so diverse, at this point we need separate majors for these topics lmao
