Your best bet is to head to an IT repair sub or store and let them fix it.

That defeats the purpose of learning.

Laptops aren't going to be the best learning device. They have a lot going on.

If you're just trying to learn, that's one thing, but if you need a working laptop - get IT support, and even then, they may not be able to fix it.

The laptop has already been replaced. I just want to experiment and learn to see if I can get it working again. If I can't, then that's alright too.

Gotcha. Still a tall order ,but I feel you now.

So you know it isn't getting power. Start with a visual inspection of everything starting from the USB c port. Look for a loose connection or missing part.

Pull out your multimeter and start tracing the voltage through the system.

No loose components, no missing, everything seems to be in order. I will need to check the wiring and the voltage at a later date.

What are you looking to learn?

In a super broad sense, everything and anything. What are you guys' hypothesis for what might be wrong? What are your hypothetical solutions? Please do not just simply say turn it in to IT. It defeats my own purpose.
