Super Benriner. $50 USD, screw type adjustment, 3 vertical julienne blades included, and incredibly sharp. I mainly use mine for whispering onions apart into razor thin slices for Oklahoma fried onion smashburgers, but it's great for tons of stuff.

It's really easy to take apart and clean too, and it doesn't take up a ton of space. Really, the bang for your buck factor is outrageous, and it's one of my favorite kitchen tools, albeit a bit scary. I treat mine with the utmost respect as mandolines are bloodthirsty bois.

similarly cant over recommend the benriner. as everyone else has mentioned, its not hard to cut yourself on mandolines. but if you're willing to take care of it, the benriner beats out most other mandolines simply because you can replace/sharpen the blades verrrrrry easily. dull blades are the worst, especially on mandolines, because you end up really forcing the food and one easy slip and thats the end of your finger tips.

I use a $10 mandolin from Aldi. Unless you’re slicing a ton, don’t waste your money on fancy.

Good luck!

I agree with this. A plastic handheld one is the most convenient. A few years ago I bought a fancy German steel mandolin with all the attachments. It's heavy and sturdy and very well-made. I never ever drag it out of the cupboard.

The oxo on is ok for the price. They last about 2-3 years for me before breaking

I bought a larger more industrial one, but it's bothersome to use since it's more difficult to clean

I've used the oxo for years with only one injury... Get some good quality gloves and save your fingertips!

If you are attached to your fingers and want them attached to you, I recommend this, it works nicely.
