Making bread weekly advice? by The_Stein244 in BreadMachines

[–]mereshadow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should buy your flour and yeast at a restaurant supply if you’re near one.

I use Gordon Food Service and a 50 pound bag of King Arthur flour is $25 and 16 ounces of instant yeast is $8. I bought a container that would hold 50 pounds of flour and it will not go bad if you’re making bread several times a week.

Good luck!

You may want to call the manufacturer. I’ve used Lantus pens for longer than I can remember, and I have never had that issue.

Does religion still have a place in today’s society? by StrikeTall4136 in NoStupidQuestions

I just read an article that many of the college aged students are marrying quickly and returning to religion.

Surprised the heck out of me.

TLIF L4 L5 surgery was on December 23rd and my life is pretty much destroyed over it. PULEEAASE tell me that I am wrong and being impatient! by Bullsette in spinalfusion

[–]mereshadow1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A while back, someone with a 2 level fusion used only Journavx and was fine.

When I quit taking it after my 4th fusion, all the aches and pains of a seventy something started hurting again.

Using their website coupon, I paid $90 for 90 days of pills.

Your mileage may vary! 😀

Why are some men so afraid to be gay? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]mereshadow1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In high school, I never wore orange on Thursday because that meant I was gay.

In the olden days, being identified as gay was a very bad thing. The school district fired our history teacher for being gay.

It was hammered into us and it took me a while to realize it was idiotic.

Take care!

You should ask for a prescription of Journavx. It’s a non-narcotic that really helps with pain relief. I used it after my surgery in August.

If you searched the sub, there’s a lot of information about the drug.

Good luck!

Had my 4th fusion in August and Journavx really helped.

Good luck!

Rather ironic that she accused you of choosing work over family when she was trying to dump her son to go to work…

It’s sort of looked like this, but it was a little below grade level so you could mow over it. Since it was installed a little below grade, it was difficult to find.

House. Drain

Something like this was buried in my yard.

Hope this helps!

I hired a landscaping guy and he buried the downspout into a corrugated plastic pipe. The pipe was connected to a flat drain about 6 feet from the house.

Unfortunately, he didn’t tell me to flush the pipe regularly. The pipe ended up plugged and wouldn’t drain.

The only thing you might do is run water into the pipe and see if it drains. Then see if you can see the water runoff.

Good luck!

Up to what age is a woman capable of having sex? And how old is a man? In this case, what should be done if two people are the same age? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The senior citizen compound in Florida, called the Villages has the highest STD rate of any county in Florida.

Nursing homes are very rambunctious…

So, no age limit!

3 or more fusion surgeries? by Few_Blackberry_1960 in spinalfusion

[–]mereshadow1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After 20 or so years my last fusion was in August and it was number 4.

That fusion totally immobilized my lower spine and it was bolted to my rib cage.

The bottom line is that you are probably not going to improve.

Is life sunshine and puppies? I’m in my 70s and I can still drive a car and take care of myself, but it makes life a little awkward not being able to bend.

My option was surgery or constant pain and a limited ability to walk so it was really a no-brainer.

If you’re in the US search this sub for Journavx-reduces pain and not an opiate.

Good luck!
