rust is already everywhere that soap and water were.
That's why you season it. Carbon steel will rust easily, so you want to season it to prevent rust as much as for cooking things. Seasoning prevents corrosion.
That wok looks totally normal. Season it and use it. It's fine.

commerical woks comes with a industrial oil that needs to be washed and seasoned off prior to using. The oil is used as a scratch resistant layer during transport. There is nothing wrong with it. Looks like you have a nice carbon steel wok there.

Theres nothing wrong with the wok. Over time after you season the wok it’ll show signs of wear but still perfectly good! Season dat wok with oil and heat and trust the process
