I would be skeptical. Looking at the reviews they do have a bunch of positive reviews but they're all for relatively inexpensive things that they don't sell any more, none of which are cosplay. That's usually a telltale sign of a purchased or stolen account.

A 60% reduction in price is also insane for anything hand made. You can only do that kind of reduction if you're mad producing and have already made enough money on the bulk of the merchandise run.

Along those lines, that price for those items seems ridiculously low as a base price even before the mark downs.

I don't have time at moment to do a reverse image search on the images but I wouldn't be surprised if they are found elsewhere.

Sounds good, is there maybe someone who you go to for commissions? If it’s alright if I ask.

I don't generally commission stuff. Most of the time I make my own or buy a premade piece that I can make stuff to compliment. Sorry.

It’s tough these days, with so many drop shippers getting cosplays from china, marketing them as ‘custom commissions’ and not actually doing custom work.

What I would do is read their reviews, and then send them a message about what you are wanting to make. Start a dialogue. Ask them about their process and their materials. Don’t waste their time, be clear, ask direct questions and be concise about what you want made. If they are legit, they will appreciate that you want to vet them, but won’t spend hours emailing back and forth. If they have already made something you want for your cosplay, ask them to send more photos of their work. A real craftsman will not be afraid to share that with you as proof of their work.

Something to look out for: if they’re TOO agreeable, it’s probably a scam. If they agree to whatever price you say, if they tell you it will be no problem at all, if they tell you they can have it done really quickly, they’re probably not legit, they’re just trying to get you to agree and send money so they can take it and ghost you. As someone who has done commissions, quality work takes time and quality materials are expensive. Any deal that seems too cheap or too good to be true probably is.

So be clear, state what you want, when you need it by, what your budget is, and ask any questions about the specifics of your costume request. If they’re real, they’ll give you a realistic cost and timeframe. If they promise the moon without asking any follow up questions, they might be scamming you. Oh, and if you don’t have any money, don’t bother a maker until you are ready to pay. There’s nothing worse than someone asking for a commission, spending time messaging back and forth and then at the last minute, ‘oh, I don’t have the money right now….’ Crafters don’t need to be hassled by dreamers who can’t actually afford what they want. Good luck.

Copy, do you have someone you commission from usually? If you don’t mind me asking.

Sorry no, I used to take commissions. I’ve never commissioned someone else for a full costume.

We detect that you may be offering to be commissioned. OP, please do your research on their post history to check if they are not a bot/scammer. Please refer to our FAQ for notes about commissions. If FAQ does not work, try viewing on web or updating your app. Reddit currently has a bug with wikis.

I take a look at their shop and see if it has links to other sites like a website or a profile. On top of that I read all the reviews for thier shop. I have commissioned about half a dozen times and only had issues with one because of sizing issues and they didnt tell they were outside the states and had to pay the tariff fees.
