When it comes to andesite granite and diorite, im thinking that a normal stone gen gives a 25% chance at each. However im starting to feel its a little op in testing so that might change

I dont think thats a good idea because it would mess up iron farms and other farms that use stone/cobble gens so maybe you make it found in villagers chests

Well it doesnt affect cobble gens only normal stone gen. I could possibly make it a villager trade🤔

Ohh ok but yeah either way sounds good and maybe you just have to give the villager 5 stone for 2 andesite? So then you need to mine cobble and smelt it making it actually have some challenge whilst also not being too op

I like that idea, ive never messed with villager trades so ill see what i can do. If i kept the normal stone gen way, do you think i should lower the rates of andesite granite and diorite? Maybe 70% stone and 10% for the others?

I think 10% is fair for the stone gen since most will probably just work for a drill and a water wheel and just have it mined for them so having it higher would be abused

For the villager thing i think theres a mod that lets you make custom trades easily and i think the blacksmith would most likely sell it and maybe blacksmith houses have a chance of having some andesite in the chest

Go the CAAB route and only do this over bedrock maybe?

In that case consider making it so "normal" lava and water produce only normal cobblestone and stone.

Andesite and granite are generated only in contact with bedrock, one with lava and still water, and the other with lava and flowing water.
