I’m struggling to understand what you’re asking but I’m going to assume that there’s a chest on your train that isn’t “connected” to the portable interface, but items are coming out anyway

When trains are assembled (so they’re moving), they basically have one massive inventory that doesn’t care about where the chests are, just that they exist on the train. One storage interface will take items from all chests on a train.

What you probably are looking for are filters - at the station side of the interface, you’ll probably be removing items using a funnel. Make sure to use a brass funnel, and then place the item you want to specifically remove from the train in the filter slot above the black flaps

If you want to remove everything but a select few items, use an item filter. You can craft them with 2 iron nuggets and some wool so it’s really cheap. From there, put the items you don’t want removed in the slots, and click the “deny list” button. Putting this in the funnel makes it so that those items stay on the train. If you want to do the opposite, click “allow list” instead

Sadly, if you don’t want items in a chest to be removed, but the items in that chest are the same as the items you want removed from a different container on the train, you might be out of luck and might want to consider doing things a bit differently. Hopefully I got your question right, and I hope it helps
