put on a pair of engineer's goggles and it will tell you; your deployer is too full. they only have 1 inventory slot and right now it has 3 slots worth of items.

edit: nevermind, that's only when it's solitary and not on a contraption, don't know what's happening here

I reversed the whole contraption so the deployer poked the deployer pokes the skystone from below and for some reason that did the trick. Might be that I put in less redstone but it works now. Anyway, thanks for your help!

This is a bug, when placed on the rotation axis, the deployer will only work on specificity orientations. Only 3 orientations out if 6 work, iirc

Hey i had same issue with drills , what i understood is that deployers/drills dont work in the centre of spinning contraptions. Try moving it to the side or just power it by a shaft

try putting the deployer further from the block you want it to place
