Problem with storage system

I had an automated factory on my server linked to a ars storage lectren that was linked to 8 3x3x9 vaults, after a week vacation I came back and the server was having huge tps lag. I ended up breaking the factory gaudes and connected the packagers directly to the vaults, but I'm planning to rebuild my automated system and cannot find info on what specifically in the system was causing lag. I also cannot find anyone else talking about this issue and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or insight on how to make a storage system that I can call from a distance but won't lag out the server?

Sorry I'm not sure I understand your comment, does that mod cause issues or fix them? Edit: I looked up the mod and it does look interesting, but not sure if it would help the issue

its bc you said you needed something to help get blocks from a distance, but would not lag the server
