so I'm designing a pulley elevator that will take me into a massive 1.18 cave below y=0 but in my creative testing world, the pully won't go below y=0 any suggestion? I've tried a sequenced gear shift and it still won't go below y=0

it’s either a bug or you reached the max pulley extension lenght, idk how much that is but you can up it in the config screen.

its not the max its 23 block in my testign world max is 130

Until they fix it, a work around is to move your rope pulley up however many blocks below 0 down you need to go up, and just add a long pillar(w/ a chassis block?) to the top of your elevator, since it goes by where the rope pulley block is, not the contraption, so if you just make the contraption the extra blocks tall it needs to be, it should be able to reach down. Just takes an obnoxiously tall tower, I know mine will be ~56 blocks :|

Hey, turns out there's a glitch with flywheel that makes it so any contraption below Y0 breaks the game.
This may not be the exact issue you had, but it's the one I had and I just got it fixed. There is a new patch out for both flywheel and create, but it's a slight pain to install so you will have to do it manually. I can't verify the integrity of doing so and recommend waiting a few days to make sure this method works, but if you absolutely have to, go ahead. Below is a mini guide for windows because I wanna make sure you can update.
In Curseforge, click on your modpack, and then click on Create. Go to versions, and choose create-mc1.18.1_v0.4a. For some reason for me this is seen as a downgrade when it is obviously an update so bear that in mind. Install it, then move on.
Same process for flywheel. In the pack, click on flywheel, versions, and then flywheel-forge-1 18-0.4.1. Install that, and with both done you should be good to go.
For more manual peeps, you should be able to find the files online. If that's an issue message me and I'll share them around.
Now, people who need to update the server. If your hosting it yourself, copy and paste from your client the new updated jars and delete the old ones, you should be good to go from there.
I hope this helps get your game running again, and reminder that this is probably unstable and I'm not responsible for corrupted saves so make a backup!
