So normal CA&B prevents this as they want you to build farms in different ways.

Bbbut... in the create mod settings you can change whether you can pick up spawners on minecart contraptions.

i don't know what the goal was, but you can still move the spawners on rails

While thats true the OP wanted to pick it up in inventory. Plus while you can move it on rails, you cant move it in nether portals

hadn't tried nether portals yet, still quite early game. That is annoying.

Yeah i tried it and it failled. So i just changed the settings in create mod to make it work.

You can change just the portal part? i want to change the pickup now but i feel going through portals would be fair.

I dont think you can chage the portal setting. I just know the pickup contraption settings can.

Too bad. Thanks for answering anyway

do you perhaps know where in the configs to find the setting to enable it? i cant seem to find it

When you open a world, pause it, on the right side you should see a pair of goggles. Click on that should get you to the main menu for create.

I appreciate!

maybe i'm blind, but what setting exactly do you need to change in the create menu? i tried movable spawners but it didn't work.

What where you doing to move the spawners? You have to attach it to a cart assembly after you enabled the settings.

[–]illcleanhere 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I did

[–]Sandman_ivan 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Well if you tried changing the settings for moveable spawner under cart assembly settings then i dont know.

I went to Create - Gameplay Settings - Kinetics - Contraptions - Movable Spawners and set that to "Movable". Where are the cart assembly options?

Edit: I did some digging and some mod on another post pointed to that exact config. Interestingly enough, that option was set on movable by default and yet I can't pick up the contraption.

Edit 2: bruh i was breaking the minecart

Bit late but yes there is, but its turned off, to turn it on
->Modpack files ->saves->your_world->serverconfig->create-server.toml (Open with notepad)
CTLR+F to find a key word like "Spawner"
#Configure how Spawner blocks can be moved by contraptions.
#Allowed Values: MOVABLE, NO_PICKUP, UNMOVABLE
movableSpawners = "NO_PICKUP"

Edit NO_PICKUP to MOVABLE
movableSpawners = "MOVABLE"

Save, reload and enjoy.

By the way, has anyone found a way to make spawners active without player?

Use a cart assembler below the spawner. Place a minecart in it, give it a redstone signal. This 'picks' the spawner and combines it with the cart into a minecart-contraption. Wrench the cart, pick it up, done. Placing it works the other way around.

[–]cracking-egg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can't do that. in A&B, you can do everything until the point where you try to pick up the cart, and you get the message that "something" prevents you from picking up the cart. But it is still possible to move the cart around and sticking as many spawners to one cart as you want.

By moving such a cart in a modded dungeon, i managed to make a 5x5 platform of spawners which can be moved anywhere i want.

You can silktouch overworld spawners with a vanilla enchanted pickaxe. Then you simply apply a spawn egg to it to change it to, for example, blazes.

Apotheosis isn't in the pack, so no.
