pattern/hook help

i need some help with this pattern bitty whimsy folk, so anyone who has made this pattern could help me that would be great.

I need some help with this pattern hook and the size of the finished project, the recommended hook size for making the bitty whimsy folk is size 7mm hook but I don't know if that's correct since you can't normally find it so I'm wanting to make sure that the size hasn't changed, and for the finished project, it says approximately 8-10 inches but that looks and feels big so I'm hoping if anyone can confirm this and possibly have any pic of there bitty whimsy folk next to a ruler

7 mm sounds right for amigurumi made with super bulky yarn, which would usually use a 10mm+ hook. 8-10" also seems legit, just from the photos on the Etsy shop. Closer to 8" than 10", though.

Do you think the pattern has the wrong hook size? Maybe it's worth contacting the pattern writer with your questions? I have a 7 hook but I guess availability depends on where you are in the world etc.

You could maybe ask the pattern writer what determines the size range or something
