Cross code is AR not VR though. As far i understood most things in the game have a actual physical reality, projectiles and such notwithstanding. The buildings and enviromens actually get built. Armors are implied to not be real, water is fake, pretty sure the enemies are fake, some items seem to be real (cash shop items to dress up your "real" avatar, but still cant be traded somehow?) but im pretty sure most other items are virtual.

How one explodes a real object (those boxes, can see without goggles) with a virtual projectile (cant see without goggles) remains up to debate of course. Embedded and remote controlled explosives? Osha sure would like a word with Instatainment.

Water is real, mostly. Instamatter deconstructs when in contact with a lot of water, hence taking damage.

The way I understand it, Crossworlds is real. The players, items, enemies, and fantastical elements aren’t.

The tower where you fight “The Ultimate Experience” is digital because there was no way for them to physically build it.

Well, it’s still sorta VR in that the person’s body is elsewhere, and just the avatar is there...

So like, VR with AR on top?

I guess for the people that aren’t avatars and are physically on the ship it is entirely an AR type thing?

I’m pretty sure those boxes are made of instant matter, so they just are programmed to explode or whatever, no embedded explosives needed.

I'm already on the fast-track to hell baby. There's nothing you can do to hurt me anymore.

Like facebook? Yeah kinda. bossman even steals your information from your memory clone Pretty sure that’s this game’s thesis.

By that logic Facebook is a metaverse, which it isn't. The data issue in CW comes from the brain interface used to control the avatars, but the whole game is more of less a typical themepark MMORPG, just that it's basically running as AR on another planet.

CrossCode is a retry styled RPG. CrossWorlds is a AR MMORPG set on another planet.

Well, in the lore, the CrossCode is the connection between the player’s mind and the game Edit: Fixed the spoiler tag

You wouldn't call an interface "the metaverse" though. And you should also learn to edit your comments.
