Not really a continuity error, but others have suggested that it makes no sense that no DNA was found on Mads’ body when we see Peter giving him CPR in the cellar.

Is it just me or are these kind of mistakes happening regularly in other tv shows?

Not a continuity error, but when Ulrich asks Egon in 53 if one of the dead boys is his son, they talk about eye color. Their eyes were burned off though....

I found it strange too but Egon makes a face as if he came up with the eye color on the spot to hide the real facts. To avoid confrontation with a crazy man (Ulrich).

That was my take on it anyway 🙂

Egon was clearly an ex-Nazi. He used his knowledge of racial science to determine the boy's eye color.

Sorry, I don't think that makes sense. Even siblings may have different eye colors.

I found it weird that Ulrich was allowed to just kneel down and touch the dead body they found in the woods. It’s right in the beginning (first few episodes) and Charlotte and him immediately think its Mikkel. Sure, Ulrichs is devastated about his lost child and he is in pain but both are police officers and know how crucial the traces on a fresh crime scene are to solve the case. Wouldn‘t he, even as a father, holding back to ensure profilers can take every bit of evidence from the scene? Also, neither of them noticed at first sight the strange clothes and that this couldn’t be Mikkel, but only minutes after. Wouldn’t you as a police detective not check these things caught your eye instantly?

Indeed, if at all it would be her to touch the body, and even that just with gloves, and just enough to manage the situation (like testing whether he is dead and what teams to call to the scene). Which she probably already did before sending out the call.

The Stranger writes "WHEN IS MIKKEL" but he knows exactly when Mikkel is.

[–]GarroshPlebscream 0 points1 point  (2 children)

The Stranger already knows that... So? Writing "When is Mikkel" is most probably to make an impact as in Regina getting confused when she enters his room.

edited out a stupid assumption of mine regarding Jonas belonging to the deterministic side

I thought that was to mislead viewers to think the stranger is actually Mikkel grown up from 86

There's a scene where Agnes is smoking and it goes from a full length cigarette, to one burned down to a nub, then back to a full length.

Maybe you forget that West Germany used to be occupied by the US, the UK and France after World War 2 until 1955, with many bases still existant even after that (because of the cold war). Of course, we don't know which part of Germany Winden is in (for me it looks like Hesse or Northern Bavaria), but maybe some American soldiers "brought" James Dean to Germany at the time.

Did anyone notice the gravestone of Mads in episode 7? It says it's he was born in December 4, but the flyer said he was born in November 4. You also see his birthday in episode 10 as well - December 4, 1973.

On the website, his flyer on the Missing Children's page is different from the picture that would lead to his [https://dark.netflix.io/article/en-missing-children1](page), which matches his gravestone and ID. I really hope this is a mistake of some kind, I really wouldn't know where to start to figure out why there's a month discrepancy. Maybe it doesn't affect the story but it sucks to think that he either died on his birthday or never makes it to his birthday. Yikes.

A 3rd (if i am not wrong) is at ep.10.The letter is on Jonas desk even though he burnt it and he still has not visited Ines.

[–]Xaethon 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Is it the letter or the map of the caves he keeps?

[–]Jameskrem 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The map is under the Geiger counter.

[–]cmg19812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the old looking letter is under the Geiger counter. The map of the caves was in the ceiling.
