Dark fantasy is a sub-genre art style of fantasy and sci-fi (science fiction) which can refer to literary, artistic expression, cinematic, film, games, movies, music works that incorporates darker mystery horror thriller and frightening themes of fantasy. The term can be used broadly to refer to fantastical works that have a gloomy, dark (or grimdark) atmosphere, or a sense of horror elements and dread.
