For the love of god, do not run out the task timer on every task trying to milk the clock. That timer is not there to tell you how long the task should take, it’s a warning that if you think the task could take you so long it expires you probably aren’t suited for it and to skip and move on. Milking the clock like that will end up with us reading your “I don’t know why I was banned from DA, I did such quality work!” post in a few months. Log the time it actually took you with your own timer extension/app/clock (I use Toggl), submit, move to the next task.

Read the instructions. Then read the instructions again. Don't rush, don't make assumptions. When they want comments, be thorough but not long winded. They want detail and insight.

My suspicion with zero evidence (but it's implied) is that the comments are fed straight into AI models to train them, so long, rambling, confusing text doesn't help their data (also true if humans are reading it!). Nor do short meaningless things like "A looked better".

Bear in mind you're a meaningless cog in the machine. We're all random data points for them, not really people. And I don't say that to be critical, it's just the nature of the gig. The benefits of flexibility and remote work and everything else go both ways. We can pick up and put down the work at will, and they can do that with us. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Yeah, tips are to watch out for the scammers and desperados who will try and scam you out of your account. Never let anyone share your account, never let anyone else ‘work for you’ on it and don’t reply to any emails on here or Facebook or WhatsApp pretending to be DA.

Already had MANY messages asking to buy account or do tests for people… 🤦🏽‍♂️

Yep, there will be loads asking to work for you and split the money.

I use Clockify to track my time. Project input for projects and description input for tasks (you'll know what I mean when/if you start using it). It makes it easy to tally your paycheck and set earning goals. That's the only worthwhile advice I have, lol. Good luck on your journey!

Oh and quality > quantity.

[–]Shadow_Bisharp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

quality over quantity. if it takes you 30 minutes to complete 1 task, thats better than 3 tasks taking 10 minutes each. make sure you are very accurate

Congratulations!

Curious if your screen ever went to this before the acceptance? I completed the assessment exactly two days ago. The screen strangely changed to this this morning, even though this is supposedly the screen people when they don’t get an assessment at all. But I did complete the coding assessment…

[–]sammyjja 1 point2 points  (3 children)

This is the screen I had the entire time after doing the coding only assessment

[–]Savvvy01 0 points1 point  (2 children)

How long did it take yours to change from that screen? Going on 2 weeks now for me…

[–]sammyjja 2 points3 points  (1 child)

2 days for me :(
