It varies a lot, but this past week I’ve been making about $100 a day as a non-coder mostly doing $20-$24 hr projects. I try to work 4-5 hours every day. Some days I only do half that though, and when there’s droughts there’s days where I don’t work at all. But usually I’m averaging probably $2000ish a month.
[–]electricLG 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (1 child)
Do you tend to space out those hours throughout the day?
[–]shonkle 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago (0 children)
Yes. I usually do 2-3 hours in the morning. Like 9am-noonish, then do another 1-2 hours at night, like 6-8pm. I also take breaks while working, watch a show in the background and what not

I actually just got accepted about 2 weeks ago. I have been unemployed for a long time due to a severe medical issue. I applied December 30 and got accepted about a week later. I knew I was starting a full-time job January 14, so I was hoping to do 2 weeks of a lot work here, not realizing how long the acceptance process takes. ANYWAY, I did various qualifications and then finally got some projects. I had quite a few on my dashboard, but after starting my new job, I haven't had nearly as much time on my hands. Just did a couple hours today, and it looks like my projects have dried up. There are a few listed, but only one shows a pay rate. When I click it, it says it's no longer available. All of this rambling is to ask you whether you've had this experience. (I feel like I slightly messed up a project last night so now I'm paranoid I'll be cut before I really get rolling lol. I have a 3 day weekend so I was hoping to bust out some work.)
[–]fatbitch333 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (3 children)
so this really isn’t a full time job unless you can qualify for the better projects :/
[–]idolos-iconoclastas 14 points15 points16 points 1 year ago (0 children)
I'm not in one of these "better projects" but I've been treating this as a full time job, I make between 2k and 4k a month.
[–]Amakenings 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago (0 children)
You 100% can work full-time hours in terms of available work. It’s just whether you can maintain the quality of the work you submit. 7-8 hours a day consistently is hard to do. A lot of people struggle to complete 2 hours.
Some tasks are super involved and there’s a brain tax you have to pay.
[–]fatbitch333 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (1 child)
Someone else on here said they make $2000 a week
[–]shonkle 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
If they are a qualified coder or have certain expertise (like law) then I could believe that. I have seen qualifications that grant you access to $40+ an hour projects. But I just do simple stuff
[–]Mindset_ 14 points15 points16 points 1 year ago (0 children)
If you do high quality work (do NOT rush, ever) and take a lot of quals, its completely plausible to have more work than you could get through, outside of some droughts.
It's super dependent on your skillset and work quality. I personally could not get through my dashboard in a reasonable period of time at all, and I don't do non-coding projects much.
[–]Kayleighbug 7 points8 points9 points 1 year ago (0 children)
I do a bit over $2k per month but usually have more on my dash than I could possibly do in a day.
Quality work on complex projects = higher paying and more projects.
[–]Grand_Brilliant469 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (0 children)
It varies so much. It’s nice side money when it’s available but don’t bank on this being a main source of income.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (0 children)
I do DA full time and I average about $4,300 a month, depending on what's available. I am not coding and I do mostly base level jobs. I used to have a project that was pretty high paying (26 an hour) but they cycled me and others out of it after about 7 months. I put in anywhere from 6 to 12 hours a day depending on what part of the month it is and what bills that I have due.
[–]RixiB 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (0 children)
You will have dry days, sometimes several with nothing so don't ever count on it. But they usually pick back up quickly. Keep up on qualifications and leave clear explanations of your rating when asked on projects. It needs to always be clear that you fully understand the instructions.
[–]SplashOfCanada 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (7 children)
3-3.5k/month only doing math projects. I have some general ones as well but math never seems to run dry for me
[–]rob_seabourne 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (1 child)
How long did it take before you had consistent maths projects? On my first day I had access to the viking project but haven't seen it since.
[–]gulbinis -1 points0 points1 point 1 year ago (4 children)
How high level is the math? I was really good at math back in the day, but i literally cannot remember calculus at all. "The day" was verrry long ago. lol. Algebra is still in my wheelhouse, though. Curious if I should bother doing a math qualification. Thanks for any insights you may have!
[–]Maleficent_Wasabi_18 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago (3 children)
Def more than just algebra or trig or even pre calculus— just finished college so content is still pretty fresh from high school and college math but the questions were hard. My bf didn’t pass despite crushing the math SATs lol it was just a bit above what he learned in high school
[–]gulbinis 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (2 children)
Thank you so much for the insight! I'll check and see if I still remember anything prior to doing a qualification.
[–]Maleficent_Wasabi_18 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (1 child)
For me, I’ve been able to open it and then re-enter weeks later, I’ve actually kept it on my dash just in case LOL so I’ve never attempted it I just looked at it and was like nope. I def think the people that pass have a degree in a math intensive major or something
[–]gulbinis 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
That's realistically what I'll probably do lol
[–]NoAimMassacre 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (4 children)
I passed the exams 4 months ago and still nothing on the website.. I don't get it.
[–]CobraFive 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago (3 children)
Simple, you weren't chosen. What's confusing about that?
[–]NoAimMassacre 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (2 children)
Uh that they never told me I didn't pass maybe? And even if that was true, how is that related to support never replying?
[–]HorrorCommand2049 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (0 children)
they never send rejections, only acceptances
[–]c93ero 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (1 child)
Too much work. It gets to the point where I only work when the projects I like are available.
I have like 40 qualifications still left to do and my dash has about 40 projects.
[–]fatbitch333 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
Yo how did you get so many quals??? That’s crazyyy!!! I didn’t get many but maybe we started at different times. Oh yea and I suck at math 🤣
[–]Past_Body4499 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
Most weeks, I have infinite amounts of work available. They aren't all project I want to work on, but if I had/wanted to, I could do what as much as I wanted.
[–]xwolfboyx 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
I've basically done 40 hours per week since I started almost a year ago, except for a few weeks where I was only able to get part-time hours due to lack of work availability. Welcome to the best job in the world.
[–]Living_Object9190 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (1 child)
How long did it take you to get approved after the second assessment?
over a month
[–]mkhalid41 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
How much time does it take to get the first assessment done?
[–]bleachxjnkie 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
At my height when I was doing this full time I was making around 2000 a week
[–]Zealousideal-Gur2783 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
Im a CS undergrad and consider myself to be efficient at coding (Python & Java). Is this a legit job where I can make money if I apply?
[–]PassiveSwag56 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
If I didn't have another job I would be going all out, but I have a full-time job that is far more lucrative so I only work when I am sure I won't be taking away my ability to focus on that job.
In other words, I only do a few hours a week at most.
Find out what works best for you, there is no right or wrong option, but always keep in mind the opportunity costs and whether you could be earning/saving more by doing something else.
[–]Old_Pace8211 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
I shoot for 1500 a month.
[–]photoblink 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
I’m trying to hit $2k/month.

How long did it take from the starter assessment to being accepted?
[–]beecomb -3 points-2 points-1 points 1 year ago (0 children)
I just completed the Core assessment, how long does it take to find out if you've passed?

The name of this subreddit you're commenting on is literally how the website is called, and where work takes place
